I'm taking my drivers test today and I'm extremely nervous. I want to pass on the first try so I don't have to go through it again. Any advice to help me prepare for the test would be appreciated. Thanks!

In your mind, picture all the complete idiots that have driver's licenses and realize you're not one of them.

Stop thinking about it. You'll be fine.

drive as fast as possible. The evaluators like to see you can control your vehicle at high speeds. Do you know how to drift?

but seriously, you've been driving a bunch with your permit right?

Is there a worse job to wake up to on a Monday morning than ride along guy at a Drivers License Bureau?

The pedal on the right makes you go. The one on the left makes you stop. Try not to run into too many other cars.

Imagine your evaluator in his/her underwear.

Wait, that may be for public speaking.

Yes. I drove for 3 hours yesterday.

Head straight to Sonic, show the ride-along you can push the red button and offer to buy whatever they want.

Yes. I drove for 3 hours yesterday.

then that should be enough. My test was a trip around the block, back into a parking space and was over in 20min

stop completely at all red lights/stop signs, don't speed and use your turn signal.

In all honesty, if you can't pass that test I really don't want to be sharing the road with you

I just took a 4 hour driving class up at EKU.

Well then you are toast!

Just kidding. I'm assuming you must have your 50 hours of behind the wheel time with your parents or other adults, otherwise you wouldn't be ready.

Remember a couple of things.

First, it isn't the end of the world if you don't pass. Lots of people fail the test on the first go around so don't psych yourself out by thinking you absolutely have to pass. Relax.

Second, remember what you were taught and be very deliberate in what you do. When you get in the car, put on your seat belt, adjust your mirrors and ask the DMV tester to put on his/her seat belt.

Third, as you drive during the test, perform as if you are showing your dad or mom how well prepared you are for the test. If you drove well enough to convince them, then you can pass the test as they were probably harder on you then the DMV guy will be.

Fourth, take the easy car if you have a choice. If your choice of vehicles is a Suburban or a Prius, take the Prius.

Fifth, don't hit anyone or anything.

Don't listen to this. Nobody fails the driving test. If you do, hang it up. I don't want you on the road.

Are you a hot chick? You may not even need to drive in order to pass.

Tips to pass

1.) no racial slurs
2.) don't mention previous felonies
3.) as a dude don't unbutton your top button on your shirt and ask, "you like?" Especially if the instructor is a dude
4.) no Chinese fire drills
5.) don't ask the instructor to hold your beer
6.) don't give anyone the bird on the road

Follow these instructions and you should be good to go

Make sure to remove the dead body of that hooker from you're car, clean the blood, and remove all the drugs as well.

Drinking a bottle of Nyquil before your test will really take the edge off.
