I'm optimistic this staff will get the most out of Big Dan. I was disappointed he didn't show up more yesterday. He was very disruptive in the APSU game early on. Like Stripling said, he has a chance to be special once he puts it all together.

I thought I was the only one who thought this.

No, when we brought up issues last year, such as: bad angles, taking blockers with wrong shoulder, lack of speed, lack of hitting power, etc. everyone railed on us. Same thing happened when I said Hunter was dropping too many balls after about 3 games.

I guess I'm in a minority, but I'm an AJ fan. He's not the most well rounded LB out there and he gets exposed a bit by these spread offenses, but I think he's going to be a huge help once we get into SEC play. I'd much rather have him in there at MLB when we play USC, UF, Bama, and UGA than anyone else. I've learned to appreciate him for what he is.

When he stop reaching at players let me know. He needs to put his head and shoulders on some ball carriers. I'm done watching him just run then reach at the last minute. His speed doesn't piss me off. It's him not dropping the hammer as a tackler consistently.

I think McCullers is going to show up much more vs SEC teams like UF, UGA, Bama, etc. just like AJJ. They're not built to play vs spread teams. Much better at stopping power run teams. JMO

Particularly at QB. Casey Clausen, Erik Ainge, and Tyler Bray (lack of leadership but that may be due to lack of leadership for him) are bad QBs. We would take any if those guys leading the offense now.

AJ is not that good. Granted they all have areas to improve. Projected first rounder for a reason.

... so we can expect him to turn on his motor for 3 games?

Remember in spring the excuse was "its just practice" now its "well these games don't fit his style"

Going hard and being physically dominant is universal regardless of style of offense you are facing.

Watching the Butch Jones show now. I knew the INT was thrown off back foot. I also noticed that the terrible pass to North was thrown while falling back. Same with the pass to Johnson.

When Worley stepped into his throws his velocity and accuracy seem like they're alright, but he seems like he doesn't trust the pocket at all.

Most here won't admit it. But Franklin is an excellent coach.

He is, undoubtedly, but his coaching skills are only exceeded by his douchebag-edness and undeserved sense of entitlement among the SEC.

As I argued with my best friend of nearly 30 years (VU fan) yesterday, if he owned up to the trash talk he incessantly veils behind intentionally vague, but obviously aimed towards UT, comments via the media, social, radio, and otherwise; I'd at least respect him for it. But whenever he's questioned about it he denies the intent behind his comments, ducks the question all together, or acts like a pompous prick towards those "who dare" to ask such questions.

I get the displeasure of having to listen to him on radio in Nashville all the time. He continually speaks as though he has the utmost respect for UT, yet takes potshots via social media when the spotlight isn't on him.

He's a coward, IMO. At least when Spurrier made a-hole comments he did so unapologetically, Franklin denies then gets pissed off like a little b***h when you push him.

I have very little respect for the man.

S/N: he consistently hails his Philly roots as evidence that he's unafraid to trash talk. A very good friend of mine is from Philly. I've been back home with him and he's had his hometown friends come down...they're the real deal, they call it like it is, you don't like it, they step outside and settle it.....my kinda guys. Guarantee Franklin got his *** kicked OFTEN, growing up in Philly.

What a fun day of college football.

Here is how I would like to see it work out.

Franklin is hired after they fire kiffin at usc :)

Texas hires saban :)

Scrambling and desparate vandy hires kiffin/orgeron :)

Saban decides to stay one more year at bama to pound kiffin/vandy and the SEC grants bama's and Tennessee's requests to play a one year home AND away football series with vandy :)

Saban screws texas out of getting a quality coach while thinking they have him :)

franklin starts at usc only to be indicted in Tennesse for his part inthat horrid case :)

Thus usc also gets screwed... :)

muschamp starts a losing streak yet retains his job :)

:) :) :) :)
