I've never liked our chances on Florida. They can stop our run game (I think) and I'm not confident we can move the ball against them through the air. Hate to be a negavol on that game, but I think it may be one where we don't score a TD. That one and Alabama are the two I could see us being held to field goals.

Interesting analysis - thanks for posting. I'll keep an eye on it.

I also thought changing up the receivers helped him in the second half. I like the potential North and Croom have, but they need to improve their route running, etc. They'll be fine long term, though, I'm confident.

Did he make Any throws from under under center??

I don't recall any on the few times we were under center

Their defense is nasty, but their offense is terrible. I'd like our chances more if they didn't have a bye week prior to playing us

I noticed that on a play-action play in the first half. Footwork is really brutal. Faked the handoff to the left and then dropped back over the wrong shoulder before he spun to the correct side and (predictably) threw an awkward pass for an incompletion.

His arm seems decent to me. Far from elite, but adequate. His feet, on the other hand, are terrible.

run on first down TO run on second down second and last TO they had is used and it is third down then run a play and the clock runs out without a punt..............and you may run it for a first down behind your almost all sr OL..................NEVER said anything about taking a knee

When pressured arm strength can make up for not being able to use proper footwork. Therein lies the problem. He can't overcome pressure or poor fundamentals like most SEC caliber QBs.

Oregon game has me nervous. That game could get ugly if we don't control the game on the ground, and keep some contain on Mariota.

I've thought all along we'd lose this Oregon game by 2-3 TDs or more. Happens to almost everyone who plays them.

We are a rebuilding program. Let's play hard, give 'em a game, and move on if we lose. I'm not sweating Oregon. In fact, I'm not sweating any more games until we get to November.

I think we're going to lose a lot more than we win between now and then. Is what it is.

I wouldn't shed more than a couple of tears if mariotra got injured and couldn't go for a couple weeks
