2014 F Kevon Looney

Paint the rock, have another "open" practice" and if there is time have him over for a BBQ at Calhouns lol!

Just for fun I'm looking at the 2015 mock drafts Looney is 7th, 24th, 15th in the 3 I saw

That's my thinking, also Looney isn't the big flashy focus on me type of player. So just show him the love and go from there.
Does his personality remind anyone of Durant or is that just me? Durant always struck me as pretty calm and reserved unlike the other "super stars"

What makes you think Looney is like that?
He is pretty reserved about himself, isn't always looking for attention and he doesn't have a twitter like most of the top 50 who want as many eyes on them as possible. Just mere observations. Would you agree or disagree?

He doesn't strike me as either reserved or extremely social. I was really wondering if you said that based off his highlights, because he gets pretty into it.

His Twitter handle is @Loon-Rebel5

This is GREAT news. He plans to take ALL visits.

#AskCoachB: Which school will Kevin Looney choose? - ESPN

I recently spoke with Kevon Looney about his recruiting and the recruiting process. Last week he came back from an official visit to Florida and has a great time with the staff and players.

"I like the vision the coach Donovan has for the program and how I will fit in," Looney said.

After watching individual workouts and being on campus for 48 hours, Looney also came away with his eyes wide open on how much time college players have to invest into each day. Next up this weekend he will be heading to Duke with visits scheduled to Tennessee (Sept. 20), UCLA and Michigan State in October. He also plans on making a second unofficial to Wisconsin. "I plan on taking all my visits," Looney said.

Looney currently stands as the No. 9-ranked player in the ESPN 100, a forward with a combination of great athletic ability, length and skill who can score from the high post and short wing area. He needs to engage himself more with his rebounding and not stand on the perimeter too long as well as continue to work on a his low post game to have a balanced scoring attack.

More importantly he is a good student and high character young man who will shine on any college campus. Look for him to make his college decision before the early signing period.

Yea he has said that since he cut his list that he "plans" on taking all his visits...I will feel better about our slim chances after he visits duke and remains uncommitted.

From the beginning, I've thought Looney is the best shot at a splash on this class. He's like TN since the Pearl days; has family in East Tenn and is in the mold of other CCM recruits with apparently a solid family. Keeping my fingers crossed.
