One example of UGA faking injuries the other night. Teams are probably going to do it to us too since we'll be an uptempo offense.

That's pretty comical. Not even close to a believable injury haha

I think you are right. Worley also said he's used to throwing to the receivers in practice. He said they may be more tired during a long practice than they are in a game. Meaning, North was running routes faster than Worley realized.

Who knows really, but it's not unexpected given we're breaking in a new QB and new WRs.

My baseline expectation is that we'll see this tighten up over the next few weeks. Of course, those results will be skewed by the fact that we will be playing some elite secondaries during that stretch (Oregon, Florida).

Fun times.
This was in the free read posted by Wu

"It’s easy to blame the quarterback.
When a ball is thrown short, the quarterback must have under thrown it.

When a pass is intercepted, the quarterback must have made the wrong read.

That’s not always the case. Jones said Saturday was an example.

“Obviously, Justin would have like to have those back, they were thrown behind the receiver,” Jones said. “Everything is about rhythm, timing and spacing. It was actually a young receiver not running the correct route most of the time. That is what threw the timing and rhythm off. On a couple of those the receivers ran the wrong depths.”

Overall, Jones said he was very pleased with Worley’s performance."

Jones said you'll see more formations with two and even three tight ends and a fullback. Offense is growing week to week.

Curt Maggitt was out of his green jersey and @UTCoachJones said the team felt his presence at practice. Corey Vereen is ahead of schedule

Then Jones repeatedly needled his junior middle linebacker Johnson. "A.J. Johnson gets to play on the same field as an NFL linebacker. The difference is, he (WKU's Andrew Jackson) is a first-rounder and you're a practice-squad player A.J. Come on A.J.! Come on A.J.! The other A.J. is already practicing."

Jones prodded the mammoth McCullers, saying "We're changing your number to 63 McCullers! We're changing your number to 63!" That's a reference to the Vols' mantra under Jones on defense of six seconds of maximum effort with three great strains.

Tennessee also brought back its physically challenging bull ring drill in the early periods of practice, with LaTroy Lewis a dominating winner over Woody Quinn.

Jones also challenged his entire team, cautioning "If you walk today, you're playing for Western Kentucky! If you walk today, you're playing for Western Kentucky!"

Question for the board: Would you rather announce you're making those shifts in formation to give the DC something else to prepare for? Or spring it on the other team unannounced and catch them flat-footed? I'll hang up and listen.
