We knew it was bad so feel free to ignore it and belittle any poster discussing the issue.

So you come after me saying my "credibility"(even though I'm not getting paid for anything :) ) is in question. But I'm belittling posters. I don't know why you guys would whine about a problem that won't be fixed this year. Just enjoy a win and a shutout my man.

You act as if we can add new players off the free agent list. But I'll let you worry your eyes out while I look at our first string doing what it was supposed to do versus a small school.

This is exactly what I was getting at. If UF or UGA, etc. beat the s*** outta Austin Peay it would be all over sportscenter. People would be trembling in fear.

Our depth is what it is. It is going to cost us wins.

Since you knew it was a problem from the end of last season(like the rest of us) you can choose to ignore it and act like it doesnt exist if you want to. However acting as if posters shouldn't acknowledge it exist is ignorant.

No one is acting like depth concerns don't exist, Bruin. Some of us just choose not to complain about it all the time. Instead we focus on the positives of the games, like our QB going 11/13 with no INT's, the offense scoring on all 7 possessions in the 1st half, our defense shutting out the opponent, etc. You and others want to focus on the 3rd and 4th string depth issues. Sounds awesome but I'll pass.

Next week when UT wins by 20 some of us will talk about how great it was to see Worley make the right reads and complete some tough passes, how nice it was to see Neal and Lane run through those holes that our elite OL created and how the defense shut down Petrino's offense. And others will talk about how the 4th string CB gave up a late 4th Q TD and we only won by 20 instead of 27.

I was digging some of the offensive sets myself. I'm a pro style guy, don't have much for the spread. But minus the QB in the shotgun, many of the sets were big boy football sets. Multiple TEs, we're coming at you, what ya gonna do about it type sets. Put the QB under center and I believe it would have been more noticeable. Some "Cutcliff" type formations. And although we ran a vanilla gameplan, I was very impressed with Bajakian as that's the first real taste we've gotten from him.

We may or may not have the "best staff in America" as CBJ alluded to in his initial press conference, but I don't hear the little snickers and snide remarks anymore. These damn dudes are for real! They are to be taken serious!
Seriously can this type of offense win big and consistently in the SEC and the BCS. I know it worked at Cincy but here is my concern.

've never seen more fans complain about the second unit than I've seen on this board. I don't get it. Everyone knows most of those kids won't play. But folks are whining like we're depending on those kids.

So is it a problem or not?

Are we counting on these kids??

Talk out of both sides of your mouth much??

My only complaint is against BB posting that our 2nd team kids arent being counted on. That is completely ignorant to say.

Major injuries from last year.

QB- None. Bray was healthy the whole year.

RB- I remember distinctly right around the time of the Miss St game, Neal and Lane both got hurt. Devrin and even CP got snaps at RB in that game.

FB: None. Bartholomew was a bull.

WR: Pig would be the only one I could remember. I don't think he missed games because of it, but he played dinged up most of the season.

TE: Downs was still recovering from his patella injury.

OL: No major injuries. Dallas I think may have hurt his shoulder, and Marcus Jackson relieved him.

DL: Not sure we had any. Could be wrong.

LB: Maggitt tore his ACL at the end of the year. Christian Harris was recovering from an ACL injury.

S: Randolph tore ACL in UF game.

CB: Don't remember any.

Injuries occur every year. It's inevitable. Look at UGA with Mitchell in the 1st game of the year. It all depends on what position group that the injury takes place. As of last year, we had 2-3 guys suffer season ending injuries. We had several other guys miss snaps or a game or two. Nothing major.

Florida ran it to two BCS championships. AtM is riding a similar style of offense to the top now. It's about getting the difference makers in this offense.

I'm still shaky on it. I'm probably WRONG but it seems that if you're down a few scores it would be difficult to come back if you don't throw down field. I didn't see enough of that.

My only complaint with you is your constant search to find a single word or sentence to focus on so you can develop an argument and run it into the ground.

2nd team kids will be counted on but not all at the same time. Just like every other team we play.

UGA just lost to Clemson partly due to costly penalties, lost their star CB to a season ending injury and were already thin on defense. I wonder what their message boards look like today? We won 45-0 and didn't have a single penalty or injury, a pretty good start to the season if you ask me.

I was at the game and I felt we could have beaten AP 100-0. Butch got to play anyone who he felt might even touch the ball if perhaps there was a giant boulder that fell out of the sky and took out the first and second string.

7 way tie for 1st in fewest points allowed nationally. We were 1of 7 teams to shut someone out in the nation.

We sit at 10th for fewest yards allowed. Now I know we played AP, but we weren't the only team playing cupcake team. I also know these stats won't remain. But we had the worst defense in the nation and school history last year. To start the season on the defensive side of the ball with a shutout this year is a sign of major improvement! I'm 100% sure Sal's greasy butt wouldn't have shut out AP.

Our passing game will progress but remember it was basic type of game. Just lineup and basically out physical AP. We will take shots but North has to show he can make the difficult catches on deep balls. He'll be the true deep threat. And against Florida I've got a feeling he'll see a lot of 1 on 1 coverage.

A few things I saw last night. I am sure most have already been mentioned multiple times.

No penalties. Discipline is the difference between good and great coaches. See Richt and Saban. One hasn't it one doesn't.

Attention to detail: CBJ was a mad man in warm ups getting after any minor details not followed. Another example of discipline.

Great energy by maggitt and smith. Showed great leadership out of uniform

Worried about QB accuracy and serious drop off in the secondary.

Who was number 13???

Next week we see what a real game plan will look like with this staff!

my post game thoughts.

A fair way to state a concern about depth??

The passing game will not progress if Worley keeps throwing the ball 8 yards behind the receiver.

My thought is the style of offense is only elite with a heisman type talent at QB. I fear it cant win BIG in the SEC without that kind of QB
