So we're going to take the whole 1st string out or are we going to play them in spots? You guys don't understand sub patterns or something. Everyone knows you slip them in with a bunch of other starters and basically hide them. But I guess you'll have a dumb answer for that.

Sure we won't play all the 2nd team at the same time but that doesn't stop the worry if guys like foreman completely busting his coverage in the 2nd qt.

If depth isn't a worry for you like I said your credibility is in serious question

Foreman was a freshman in his first ever game. Also why would I worry about a problem I knew was there before the season. You guys are so funny in wanting kids to come in and play lights out day one. Man go take a seat somewhere.

Defense looked bad and I've got to imagine Manziel is a clubhouse cancer. I wouldn't be surprised by an epic collapse by them this year. We'll see.
Quite the contrary. Manziel is the team favorite, per Bruce Matthews. He would know. He has two sons playing on the team.

I don't think there's any questioning that we have depth issues. I think what some are pointing out is that we won't have our second/third string in collectively at one time.

An injury would require a second string guy individually playing, wouldn't be equal to the entire second team squad playing. And while that could still negetively impact things, it wouldn't be as drastic as some are insinuating. Just my take on things.

Logic would agree but not BB. He said we aren't counting on those kids(not units)

Lol, if UF or Bama were up 40 at halftime on AP it would be all over sportcenter. We do it and people continue slitting wrists. SMFH!

Exactly. The 9th and 10th OL on our roster won't be playing in meaningful games this fall unless we're up big. Same goes for every other position. Hell our 6th OL (Jackson) didn't even play Saturday.

Sure, if Byron Moore gets injured you'll see Max Arnold out there playing Safety when a starter needs a breather but what you won't see is the rest of the 3rd string out there with him.

Aren't moore and Arnold playing different spots or is moore able to play both safety positions?

That's all normal rotation. We will see that every game

We will also see that every game on defense. The quote was that 2nd stringers were mixed in nicely with the 1's. In your haste to argue with anything anyone posts, you again missed what was actually said.

Who cares if Charlie Strong was offered or was not offered the UT job?

All that matters is that we did hire the right guy to be our coach. I'd rather have Butch Jones than anyone else, at this point.

That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

I guess it's off limits now since the season has started and doesn't exist.

It's not dumb at all. Most people are predicting 5-7 wins, right? And what is the main reason for predicting 5-7 losses? Depth. We're all aware of the depth problem but now that the season has begun and predictions are going to happen as planned, we should complain about it on a daily basis? Holy sht man, how do you get out of bed in the morning??

You act as if we can add new players off the free agent list. But I'll let you worry your eyes out while I look at our first string doing what it was supposed to do versus a small school.

Da'Rick needs to shut up, stay out of trouble, and do as told. His future depends on it, lest he wants to pump gas.
Josh Ward ‏@Josh_Ward 28m
RT @DanielNooga: The Colts have signed Da'Rick Rogers to their practice squad.

Depth is not a concern at all. Top to bottom we match up with Oregon quite nicely.

No argument didn't mean it to come across that way. The full fledge unit substitutions were made in the 2nd half. However I think the defensive substitution pattern was much more liberal in the 2nd qt than normal. We won't see that many 2nd teamers at a time IMO.

I was digging some of the offensive sets myself. I'm a pro style guy, don't have much for the spread. But minus the QB in the shotgun, many of the sets were big boy football sets. Multiple TEs, we're coming at you, what ya gonna do about it type sets. Put the QB under center and I believe it would have been more noticeable. Some "Cutcliff" type formations. And although we ran a vanilla gameplan, I was very impressed with Bajakian as that's the first real taste we've gotten from him.

We may or may not have the "best staff in America" as CBJ alluded to in his initial press conference, but I don't hear the little snickers and snide remarks anymore. These damn dudes are for real! They are to be taken serious!

Our depth is what it is. It is going to cost us wins.

Since you knew it was a problem from the end of last season(like the rest of us) you can choose to ignore it and act like it doesnt exist if you want to. However acting as if posters shouldn't acknowledge it exist is ignorant.
