Does anyone else find it troubling that our largest wr (6-5 230) has troubles with physicality? He should be the epitome of physicality.
Depends on what the coaches mean by it. They may expect even more from him because he has the potential to produce. May be a matter of him going full speed and utilizing every one of his physical gifts.
He may already be our most physical receiver. The coaches will still make it known that they need more from him. He needs to be that dude. He's still a freshman, plenty of time. Lotsa snaps in the first three games will be KEY.
Two things. My best friend/ roommate went to ooltewah and graduated with Jacques smith. They know each other well and catch up everytime they've seen each other. I've talked to him as well. He told my friend that his thumb is fully healed and that the coaches just want to keep the cast on until the season starts. Hell yeah. Secondly my roommates walked by practice and yelled "go vols" to CBJ when he wasn't talking to people. Butch asked if they were going to the game and my roommates obviously said "yes". Anyways, now we have a Power T practice ball![]()
Agreed. Just sounds like the coaches are having to motivate him, which isnt going to bode well once the 14 class arrives. He needs to do what he's capable of and make it impossible to passed up next year. jmo.

So, I'm a criminal defense attorney and just got done interviewing an Oregon fan for one of my cases. After the interview, I told him good luck to the Ducks for all of their games this year except for when my alma mater, the Tennessee Volunteers, come to town. He said "they lose a lot of games so I'm not worried about them." Most years beating Bama is my highest goal, but that might not be so this year since I have deal with these a$$holes day in and day out. Never won a national title and they act like they're the pinnacle of college football. I know, kewl story broseph.

:zeitung_lesen:He played very well against us twice that I can think of. I honestly didn't follow Alabama after 2002 and I'm not sure I could remember specific games even if I had. I don't remember specific games where Meachem dominated either but I know he had some.
I don't know if the Poole comment was supposed to be a comparison or just an example of how you evaluate players. Even if Poole's thousand yard season put him top 10 all time in SEC history, he plays another position where stats can be more misleading.
I'm pretty comfortable putting him in the conversation.
