The real crazy part will be the (2) turnovers our offense has that keeps it from becoming a blowout. 45-23 looks better, but I think the offense has a couple slip ups. 31-23 still sends the message that Tennessee is on it's way back.

If we have turnovers against Oregon, especially in first half the game will be over in about 5 minutes.

No wonder we're dropping the ball so much.

lol.

A few days ago I saw the rolled up towels under their arms on punt catching drills but this was new. Based on earlier post practice comments it must work because it appears we made a helluva lot more catches today than we normally hear about.

kenbrell thompkins 8 catches for 126 (preseason, yeah) tonight for the Patriots.

#butch

By the way, caught the tail end of a show on Fox this evening that was called "The List." They were listing the best WRs in SEC history. Might have been the worst list I've ever seen.

1. Josh Reed (LSU 99-01)
2. Terry Beasley (Auburn 69-71)
3. Earl Bennet (Vandy 05-07)
4. Reidel Anthony (UF 94-96)
5. Terrence Edwards (UGA 99-02)
6. Joey Kent (UT 93-96)
7. Craig Yeast (UK 95-98)
8. Jabar Gafney (UF 00-01)
9. Wendell Davis (LSU 84-86, I think)
10. Can't remember.

I'm not sure this is the exact order. I know 1-3 are correct and I know Kent was 6. I can't remember number 10 except that it wasn't a vol. I think it was somebody from South Carolina, but again, not sure.

No DJ Hall, AJ Green, or Hines Ward. I'd also take any of Larry Seivers, Carl Pickens, Marcus Nash, Peerless Price, Robert Meachem, Tim McGee, and maybe Cedric Wilson or Willie Gault over half of those guys.

Smdh.

DJ Hall isn't an elite WR anywhere. Just killed us for playing 10 yards off.

I'd settle for a non-elite WR who puts up consecutive 1000 yard seasons and nearly 3000 for their career (6th all-time in the SEC) right about now.

Alshon Jeffery is another one that probably should have been on there.

I like gameplay more than stats. DJ Hall doesn't even come to mind when I think of good WRs.

WRU's only has 1 rep? Butch, please!

Sounds more like you didn't know he had really good career numbers and are trying to cover for it.

I can see it from a LB perspective, like how leading the league in tackles doesn't make AJ the best LB, but WRs have 4 repsonsibilities: get open, catch the ball and get yards, or block. Stats reflect how they do those things, probably better than any other position.

Good player out of high school and competing for a spot in an unsettled QB situation there.. But wants out? Houston kids dream of A&M (or Texas) like it's a shrine and don't just leave for any reason.

Not sure he can handle what we have today if that was the case.

This is based on a lot of assumptions that you drew

Everytime I see a Raijon Neal interview I hit the snooze button. What Runningback in the SEC when interviewed smiles during the entire interview? Six minutes of smiling. Where's Marlin when you need him?

Probably somewhere in the doghouse. Just saying.....
