It's a problem that new guys are coming in starting Game 1. North being a true freak I can expect. But to allow two freshmen to take your spots by out working you is ridiculous. I'm really not liking this at all. And Jenkins was well on his way to a lot of PT as well. I know they aren't scrubs but neither were Croom or Bowles supposed to be.

With Croom being as much of a freak as North, I'm disappointed if he doesn't land a starting job soon.

Yeah North I expected. Can't wait to see him go over the middle like DR used to. I think Josh will be useful with short to intermediate route patterns. I know he's fast, but I'm not sure he's a guy that can beat someone over the top.

Could he do it against Austin Peay? Probably. Against Oregon/UF? Highly doubt it. And that's ok. He will do his damage with hitches, outs, and slants.

This plus iirc dude got folded like a pretzel and hurt in one of the games. After that he faded out. He's more of a straight ahead runner, the kind people have been asking for. Hope he gets a shot and knocks some linebackers on their asses.

Croom in the inside can be looked at two ways...

1. Ever seen Brandon Marshall work in the inside ... #Godly

2. Maybe he is having problems getting off the LOS outside... #Nobueno


I do not expect him to line up inside off the line a whole lot.

Good post. I have said it before; it's a major match-up issue to have a big, physical WR with more speed/moves than a TE working the slot. I view the move as a major positive. It also tells me that they feel they have a couple of good WR options evolving outside for when they use him in there.

People are forgetting the Butch Jones effect. He's starting these freshman one because they're good enough and two, because it sends a message to recruits that CBJ will start you as a freshman if you're good enough. Alot of coaches talk out the side of their neck but Jones is a man of his word. If you're good enough come to UT and you'll play.

But I thought DL recruiting was going terribly, Stripling couldn't relate to DL recruits and we needed to be really concerned? :)

I think I speak for everyone when I say we dont give a **** about your financial situation. So you can stop beating your chest about it. You're starting to sound like Baby avi and that is never a good look.
