Of course it was just MTSU but I thought Worley had a nice game that night as a True Freshman two years ago. 23/32 for 291 yards and TD pass.

Again, yes it was just MTSU but he was also just a True Freshman at the time. He's two years older, stronger and smarter. Hopefully he makes the most of his opportunity if Butch names him starter. GBO!

Wish we still had Gordon on the team.. :cray:

Worley as played in the SEC a little bit. That experience leads me to think he is the man for the job. We will have a better idea of our QB situation after the OR game IMO.

Johnathan Ford at Auburn has been switch from RB to CB per 247. I wonder if he had an urge to call Butch to see if it was too late to come here.

I like both true freshman QBs and Peterman, but I believe Worley will be the starting QB for the first couple games. If he doesn't light it up against "weaker" competition, I think we see either Peterman or Fergs. I really like Dobbs, but for some reason, Fergs just looks more ready, and I like the fact that he plays with a little chip on his shoulder, and not afraid of competition. He got snubbed by Bama, and after he commits to us, Bama wants him, and he said no, and says he wants to beat them bad. Dobbs come on board, and everybody is so excited about Dobbs, what does Fergs do, he stuck with his commitment, and is now pushing the upperclassman, and is apparently ahead of Dobbs and possibly Peterman on the depth chart. I just think Fergs has the "it" factor, and will be great for us.

Yikes! That has got to sting for the kid. He would have seen some carries this year if at UT. Hope other kids are paying attention. No top RBs wanted to be a part of the 2013 class at Tennessee. CBJ goes out and gets a walk on(Pickett) and most signs point to him getting carries this year.

Didn't someone say that on Sunday Peterman snapped with stone while Worley snapped with crowder. Could be a sign

Why a sign? Its not unforeseeable these players will have to work together given the potential for injury. Just strikes me as being prepared and nothing else. Probably come to better conclusions about the QB situation studying chicken entrails.

I would also think once you have your starter, you would want the #2, and #3 QBs to work with the 1's to determine who is your true backup(#2).
