School actually has several colors. We are wearing these for a single game this year.
When you're not winning three out of four national titles, you need to be doing something to market your school to attract the players who are going to get you there. To do otherwise is unintelligent.
The Big East? Look I like Butch and hope we got the right guy. He is new to the bigtime and I think he has his head on straight and is a real "football coach". However, all this talk about trendy uniforms are gonna make the high echelon players decide to come to Tennessee is a huge load of crap. If wearing gray uniforms improves our winning percentage to national title proportions I will take Rendezvous barbecue sauce with my crow. It just doesn't work that way.

I may be harping on the 1914 connection a little bit but if you are having trouble accepting the alternate one game a year uniform just think of it as a modern throwback uni.
Young recruits just want to see us do what other Nike schools do. The cool and unique factor helps.
Sly wanted us to go after Bear Bryant. He unfortunately hasn't checked his telegraph machine with the sad new of his passing.

A few games is fine. It's a good change of pace.

FTR, there is no way the university is going to let them change the official colors away from Orange and White. I just don't believe that.
My apologies. I overstated. This is closer to correct, but why would the AD fight a coach from an alternate uniform that they can sell for more money to the AD.
I don't mind it at all. I just think the logic people are throwing out about how uniform colors are going to win us games doesn't make any sense.
I have a very low opinion of Nike and their sweatshop techniques. I really detest everything Nike and would never throw even a dime their way. But, that's me. I have some morals and standards. I understand that some don't.
In today's news, Bear Bryant still a rotting drunk, racists corpse.
I think you need to do better recruiting from step one. We've recruited some great athletes over the years without flirting with color, uniform or solid traditional changes.
They better not even consider it.
Problem one. UT more concerned with money in than money out. Get as much money in as possible and hire a coach on the cheap.

Wtf is this shizz. It's one alternate uni worn once a year. The gray color is an official color of the U of T (check out the baseball team). Lighten the fawk up. BTW, I'm 53 and I can't wait to get a gray golf shirt with an orange Power T on it.
