In pass skeleton, Worley scrambled and threw a touchdown to Pig Howard, who made a nice catch with JaRon Toney well-placed in coverage. Peterman threw a nice seam pass to freshman receiver Ryan Jenkins for a touchdown. Freshman quarterback Josh Dobbs threw a dart to Jenkins along the back line of the end zone after scrambling to his right.
Freshman quarterback Riley Ferguson briefly got some first-team reps when Jones didn't like how Worley commanded the offense. In the drill, the defensive line intentionally jumped offsides, and when that happens, Tennessee's offensive lineman don't flinch, with the goal of leaving no doubt in officials' minds. They can only come out of their statued stance when the quarterback hollers "Chill!"
During one special teams drill, Jones reminded tailback Alden Hill that former Alabama tailback once played special teams. After judging that freshman Jalen Reeves-Maybin took a poor rep, Jones barked, "That rep had a life of its own!" He told receiver Jason Croom he couldn't wait to show film of a poor kickoff return drill rep to his mother, Karen.
How about reasons that he should be?
"Brent Brewer also showed up in a big way on a few occasions tonight. This morning Tommy Thigpen called Brewer his most 'vicous' linebacker when it came to engaging and discarding blockers. Brewer showed the truth of that observation tonight, dominating in one-on-one drills with the tight ends. He also had the 'hit' of the night when during pass rush drills he exploded into Neal with such force that Neal's feet left the ground."

so if we get Mosely, Lambert, Barnett, the Berrys, and Berrios would we be done? or could we find room for the two west coast guys(names escape me at the moment)
Just listened to that Thigpen interview and now this. Sounds like Brewer is really coming on. I'm not as worried about LB as I once was.
I liked Sapp's game in the O/W game. But what are the chances Brewer starts on the outside? I've always felt Brewer was a good player, just a step slow to play safety. But he's seen a lot of snaps in SEC football, I could just see him providing good leadership and big play ability in the box. A slow safety to and extremely fast LB.
