I think we're just out of spots.
We're still in on Lamin, Lambert, Barnett, Mosley, Elam, and Humphreys.
2 are jucos that we need badly, and 2 are in state guys...and we probably only have room for 3.
I followed Butch Jones very closely at Cincy. Trust me numbers are not at issue at this point. They will not turn any of these DLineman away. At Cincy he almost always had 3-4 more commits going into signing week than he had spots available and things worked themselves out and come signing day he got the number down to where it needed to be. Dont be surprised at all if there are 32-33 or so commits heading into the final week and the biggest risks, whether it be grades or positions of least need will be weeded out to get the number to 30. Dont think for a second they are going to stop recruiting elite caliber guys in the Adoree Jackson, Clifton Garrett, DJ Smith mold because of numbers.
If he can't get his grades up he would have to go to Prep school.
Not certain that would happen, just giving possible outcomes.
I agree on Bryant. I think it works out as if he does not qualify, guys like Garrett are possible as they will be deciding closer to NSD. Coaches will also keep in touch with a few JC LBs IMO as well. I think Jackson is a take all day no doubt. Kid could be the best WR on the whole roster next year. Medley has earned his scholarship and should get one this year. I think the coaches have to look at the last 10-11 spots and just take the best available at the biggest position/s of need. If we have (3) spots left on the DL, I'd take the next 3 ready to commit. (1) spot left at OL? I would take Blair or Mosley. 1st one to commit gets the spot. If we are full by Sept 1st, so be it. Keep showing the commit love and really focus on 2015 recruits.
Really great to hear that. Sounds like he has the people skills that Dooley just never had.
Yeah they are complete opposites really. I met all three recent Cincy coaches multiple times. Butch was by far the nicest. He is a very personable guy. Has a great attitude and always upbeat and is truly a players coach. Much more approachable than Dantonio and Kelly ever were. Dantonio wasn't a bad guy but he had zero personality and Kelly was just an unapproachable arrogant POS.

So do you guys think that Dews gray shirts ? I'm sure the kid knows that's a possibility---with so few spots and the priority of the DL you want to make room for them and a Jackson or Garrett if they fell to us
