Ok, still don't see the grounds for a suit. If you are saying he or his parents should sue for damages due to having to move out of their home, I guess I could see that, but others might argue that he contributed to those damages. He might be able to push for libel or slander but since he was acquitted, then I think the judge would say he wasn't effectively slandered.
How does the acquittal change the fact that he was slandered and damaged? It doesn't. The acquittal confirms that he was slandered. Are you bad drunk?
