I'm not following then based on this statement. So, the staff needs to convert his mother, but they are distancing themselves (from BD)?

Yes his mom is a huge Bama fan (but she also like South Carolina for some reason). Rico still plays on the BD's 7v7 team but from what I am told they would like to distance themselves from him.

Sounds like the staff has its work cut out. Hopefully, since there is a ton of time left, his mother will be open to analyzing all options.

I'm sure everyone here would love to have McGraw in that O&W.

Video interview with Fortenberry. Had good things to say about UT, likes new staff, traditions, facilities, etc. Said he understands why guys like Hurd and Vic have committed. Also talked a bit about Bama and how he really likes what they have to offer. And is looking forward to visiting Miami who recently offered him. And maybe visiting FSU.

Sounds like a great kid who will have a lot of options and is keeping an open mind.

Same here. If you look at just offers right now, Rico would be #1. I really like Smith though. Unfortunate his bro is currently committed to Vandy. Hope Butch changes that

All we need to do is have a good season in the next year or two and show some marked improvement and I think he has a real chance. From interviews last year he seemed really eager about Tennessee.

He's at Ole Miss this weekend. He said that they were recruiting him early, and he's going to return the favor (by giving them strong consideration). He plans to narrow down his list of schools after the summer. He also plans to attend a game or two at Ole Miss during the season.

He went down with Michael Sawyers.

Don't like our chances with this kid. It's still early but the fact he visited 6 days ago and hardly a mention of the visit at all.

IMO Tennessee's chances just got a lot better with him. He no longer associates himself with Byron DeVinner or his 7v7 team.
