He has been quoted as saying FSU is his dream school. If they offer, this one is over. Would be one any team other than FSU would have to wait on till NSD. That offer would change everything.

Roster as of now plus the current commits. All of the kids have multiple years left. I think the #'s are pretty good.

Some of the guys on the roster right now need to be recruited over in my opinion.

so do you think if we get this guy, we are still going to go after Autry and Truitt

other recievers were going after include Kamara, Booth, Malone, Kitt, Lauderdale and others

i also remember reading that Eric Berry said one of his brothers will try to play reciever in college

This is where recruiting gets tricky. Truitt might be a CB in college. Kitt sounds like he's going to announce for Clemson. Kamara and Malone sound pretty wide open right now. Autry seems to be an OSU lean. Booth has been flirting with alot of other schools. The only one we're the clear leader for is Lauderdale. You don't want to snub Powell for a chance at losing a higher rated prospect. I can't really tell you what i'd do in this situation, it's very fluid. The only thing i can say with confidence is to trust the coaches. If they take him before the others mentioned above, then he's probably a damn good player.

This. Butch won't do it like Kiffin in his first year but the way they recruit, at WR especially, will speak volumes about their feelings on the current roster.

I agree. CBJ seems to want very fast weapons he can get the ball to in space and allow them to make plays. How many on current roster do we have that we're confident that can make that happen? I see a trend in all these slot type recievers, they are extremely quick. They will work in this offensive scheme. I love the thoughts of having weapons all over the field.

That's another good point. Powell fits perfectly in this system. I wish we could have pulled Corn Elder last cycle. He could've been hell in this offense.

"I loved everything about Tennessee," Powell said. "When I first got here they showed me around the campus, showed me everything. The weight room, all that. I loved everything. "Being in camp, the coaches coached me. That made me like everything about Tennessee, the coaches. "They've shown a lot of interest ever since I walked on campus. Every coach has walked up to me, shook my hand, they've been good."

"When I first got here, all those guys, Jalen Hurd, that committed, they've been coming up to me, they've been showing me around telling me everything about Tennessee," Powell said. "I feel comfortable around here."
"When there's a school that I go to and I feel comfortable around the players and everything, that's the place I want to be at."

"That shows you that Tennessee is back," he said, "being the Tennessee they used to me, getting the top guys. That's going to help the team a lot. This year, next year especially when my class comes in. I'm going to do some big things.

"That shows you a lot about the staff, that they can get big-time players in here and everybody loves them. That shows you that they're a good staff."
