Theres a city portion then theres the surrounding area. The city portion is rather small imo. It doesnt have a big city feel to it, more like a lot of little ones. Bunch of butt hurt about my comment tho..
No, you're using general, opinionated terms to describe big and small. It appears a lot of people here clearly accept Nashville as a city.
It may not have a "big city" feel to you. That's fine. However, based on the 2010 census, Nashville is the 25th largest city in the U.S. I think that is pretty big and clearly distinguished to receive the title "city."
As a reference to the ranking for consideration, Nashville is above the following cities: Baltimore, Louisville, OKC, Vegas, etc.
I think you are taking into account the metropolitan areas, and that should've been stated.
