My cousin just got denied admission to UT this fall. 3.1 GPA, 23 on ACT. I know that's not great, but when you've had 8 family members get their degrees from UT and have 3 members give money to the school each year, it's ridiculous.

I didn't realize they had gotten that picky.

Glad I got in when I did. I had a crappy GPA, but my ACT was high enough to off set it.

That isn't awful. That is a b average and a average act score. Seen smarter kids not make it through school and kids like that thrive.

Exactly. It's ridiculous that your cuz was rejected. I would say the majority are right at that level who apply. You think they would admit more so they can lay the big orange screw to them in terms of tuition.
