Um, no. Please?
Seriously, with kids making their announcements on twitter and with media including kids' twitter handles in their articles (and retweeting them) it is only going to become more mainstream IMO. I think 24/7 now includes twitter handles each individual's profile page. Short version: it's only going to get worse.
Looking at some of the VolNation traffic analytics it is probably already much worse than you would guess.
Ah, the man has spoken.
I am never going to regard the stalking of high school kids by strange grownups as mainstream. The fact that the "reporters" in the so-called "sports media" exacerbate it makes it worse, in my opinion, rather than legitimizing it. It's already appalling.
I'm not thrilled with the whole idea either, but it is what it is.
I can understand how those who follow recruiting closely might enjoy reading kids comment on a visit they just made or which schools made their top five list, but beyond that it's a bit of a head-scratcher.
If they make me laugh I'm down. I can be thoroughly annoyed by any variety. Who did you have in mind?

Can never go wrong with Kevin Hart or Aziz Ansari, theres 4 All Star comedy specials that they shot during NBA all star weekends, one is hilarious, its got Aries Spears, Kevin Hart, and DeeRay. Then Ralphie May is funny too
When I look in a recruit thread and I see people arguing over whether a tweet he posted was about football or his girlfriend situation, it has gone way too far.
I get that you can't unring the bell. I just think it's grotesque. It's sad that Sabanoccio is going mainstream.
