Its a combination. Its a lack of (both things). Were continuing to develop, you know, your A game, your A pass rush move, and then a counter off that. And I think its fundamentals, its get-off.
Everything about great defensive line play is get-off. A lot of it it. Some of its quick-twitch and exploding off the football. Some of its strength. With each individual, you know, theres a little bit different aspect that goes into it
I would say its great explosiveness off the ball, its playing with a great pad level, having a counter off your best pass rush move. But I think more importantly, its playing with a relentless attitude.
We have whats called opportunity sacks. That defensive end may get a sack, but its because the three-technique or the nose guard did their job and made the quarterback flush the pocket, and thats an opportunity sack.
Hes pushing forward. Hes on schedule, and were hoping that he brings another intensity level, another speed level, and another level of leadership. He works on his leadership skills every day, and hes doing a phenomenal job.
I would say its gonna be middle of summer, and then (hell be improving) on into preseason camp.
Yeah they asked Franky boy about the tweet saying something like "you're settling in life if you don't play at Vandy" that he tweeted right around when Jalen Hurd picked us. He avoided the question and then said something like "you know it's funny that everyone thinks this is about something when it's not" (as he can't mention recruits by name). He was then asked if someone went to Princeton if they were settling in life and he avoided the question. After that he got flustered and said "I didn't think I was coming on this show to get jumped".Can someone paraphrase, please?
He gave an answer IMO. He stood behind the tweet without saying it verbatim.
He said "I am selling Vanderbilt and standing behind my product."
I take that as him saying his product is best and anything else is settling which is what his tweet said.
Fwiw I don't agree but I think he did stand behind his tweet.
Since CBJ had been hired, his demeanor has changed. I don't know if it is pressure to take it to another level ir he knows he has legitimate competition at his biggest rival now.
That's definitely not an answer IMO. To each his own I guess.
Get outta here Franklin lover!Eh, he didn't let the guy pressing the question put words into his mouth (not in Tennessee don't know who's show it is).
Twitter has that 140 character limit. It lets people in the media over analyze everything and come up with whatever they want it to mean.
I'm not trying to sound pro-franklin or anything, I'm far from that, but he was just defending his own words with other words that really meant the same thing as the tweet. He was actually just re-emphasizing his tweet, with the details that made him tweet what he did. Although the motive behind the tweet could never really be known, but if you believe what he is saying, it makes perfect sense.
I'm beyond tired of Franklin, and I'm definitely ready for the Vandy game this year, but I try and look at stuff like this completely unbiased and I just don't see anything wrong with what he said. JMO though. Franklin still homo for Travis. :hi:
