I don't recall Quentin Turner? And we are leading for him. Guess I have some searching to do

And I would trade my left kidney for Truitt and Barnett

And I'd like to see Sawyer get an offer before he balls out this year

Not Vol related, but ..

"Today at the University of Nebraska's spring football game, a 7 year old boy with brain cancer was brought onto the field and given the football for one play."

Puts a smile on my face.

What a picture. Everything from the guys in the back with their arms up to the kid in the air with the ball to the ref trying to hold back a smile.

As I sit and read this at a saturday clinic where we provide free legal advice for indigent persons, for which I will not be paid, I have to disagree. I bust my ass for each person I represent, no matter how much they or the taxpayers pay me.

Go Vols.

If more attorneys and doctors had Vol as part of their name, the US and actually the world would be a better place :hi:

What I was thinking but didn't want to say it

Support a brother Vol, do not attack him.

JCLaywerVol may be one of many who do provide service to their communities....but nobody in the media takes notice. It is not sensational enough.

This is an example of an unsung hero IMO.

This year will celebrate 21 years of providing free medical care annually at a disabled children's camp. Without a physician at the camp, the camp would not be allowed. I very happily lose money that week. I still have to pay my office overhead and do not generate any inclme at all.

But many see "Doc" in my VN name and probably assume many things.

There are no absolutes. Except death is inevitable. Grim but true :)

Florida fan on espn board comparing Muschump to Rutgers coach, saying he abuses them and hopes he is fired by next year and calling him a cheater for paying players And UF stands for better than that....

Hahahahahhahahahahabahaaha

I'm in that picture somewhere. Thanks for posting it! I went to the event today, and it was wonderful. It was a good way of facilitating good will between the academic and athletic sides. Butch definitely gets people, and I think he is going to succeed here. The man looks, talks, and most importantly, ACTS like a head football coach.

Oh, and I got to touch the "I will give my all for Tennessee Today" sign in the locker room. Cool!

Hey Prof,
Next time hold up your hand with a "V" for VolNation. :)

:salute:

A lot of community service isn't noticed because people don't like to hear "good" news.

Blanc and Mike McNeil, another former Auburn player, told Roberts the money amounts reached "several thousand dollars."

"Coaches would say, 'Don't tell anyone where you got it from,' " Blanc told Roberts.

McNeil told Roberts he had a meeting with then-defensive coordinator Will Muschamp, now Florida's coach, in 2007.

"I had no clue what it was about because I'd never directly asked him for anything," McNeil told Roberts. "He slid about $400 over to me. He went into a drawer and gave me money and said, 'Is this enough? Is this good?' And I said, 'Yeah, I'm good.' "

Muschamp denied McNeil's account to Roberts through a spokesperson and again to the Gainesville Sun.

"Totally deny it," Muschamp told the newspaper. "I don't know where this is coming from."

Puts a smile on my face.

That's a Pulitzer-worthy photograph. Incredible.

Former Tennessee recruiting coordinator Darin Hinshaw touted Cordarrelle Patterson as a superior pro prospect to fellow former Vols wide receivers Justin Hunter and Da'Rick Rogers.
Hinshaw, now Cincinnati's QBs coach, recruited all three players. "He's the best I've ever seen with the ball in his hands," Hinshaw said of Patterson. "He can make people miss, explode and get vertical. He made numerous people in the SEC look stupid who will be playing in the NFL, and I believe he'll do the same at the next level. He's not a one-year wonder. He's a 15-year wonder in the NFL."

The only question is whether Patterson will be primarily a return specialist or truly commit to perfecting his craft and becoming the greatest wide receiver to have ever passed through Wide Receiver U. I wish him all the success in the world but, personally, it is very difficult to think of a one-semester phenomenon as a VFL.

Some of the best money you'll ever lose. Great work, Doc.
