A few visitors at practice

Demarre Kitt is still in town and at practice. He's expecting to leave tomorrow. also, 2015 instate lineman Zack Stewart is on campus today.

Said he feels about 80% and had hurt his hamstring before spring break.

Felt team was refreshed at practice. Feels comfortable in the scheme. Not as complicated.

JONES: The one individual who is really starting to impress me is Jason Croom. I liked how he approached practice today.

We had a focused group of young men yesterday in our meetings. Building program and team brick by brick.

Receiving corps has to step up and overall physicality of team has to improve. Way you practice tells you about the culture of the team. Jason Croom is coming on.

Highlights of QandA with Paul F

1) Read where D'Andre Payne is at Vandy today along with Tabor and their teammate Dimitri Lee (also a DB). Obviously there is a lot of smoke out there about Payne committing to UT tomorrow. Have you heard anything about him and Tabor/Lee (or just Payne) coming to Knoxville today or tomorrow? Have you heard anything to make you say "No way Payne is committing tomorrow" like you have with, for instance, Josh Malone when a lot of people thought he might commit a few weeks ago?

2) On today's visitors - 1) Think Stewart is here to commit? He said he was close to pulling the trigger back on 3/19 when he got the offer but wanted more time to think clearly about it, and now he's back 2 weeks later. 2) Kitt - also a guy with some smoke around him and UT...thoughts?

3) Anything new on Poona Ford? Have read that we might have a pretty good lead ATP.

4) Heard anything more about Hendrix coming back this spring/summer?

7) I've read that they may not be ready to take Booth were he want to commit? Agree with that? Do you think that his Bama offer yesterday a) changes that calculus and/or b) changes his timeline/thought process/leader?

9) I assume the O&W game is going to be a huge weekend, but the only name I've got so far is Cortez McDowell. Any others you feel strongly are going to be there, and do you think there will be another big weekend before that?

1. I think there's a real chance Payne could be the trigger tomorrow. I haven't heard if they're set to be in Knoxville or not tomorrow.

2. Concerning Stewart, he's thought about committing before he came up today, I'm not sure if he pulls the trigger or not. WIth Kitt, I don't see him doing anything any time soon.

3. He really likes Tennessee and the Vols are up there, I'd keep an eye on USCe, though. They will be tough to beat out in the end. But, he certainly likes the Vols a lot right now.

4. He told me last time I talked to him he'd be up for camp this summer. I'll check with him again and see what the deal is.

7. I think it depends on when he wants to commit. He continues to say he's going to do something before the summer so we'll see. I have a hard time seeing the Vols tell him to hold off.

9. D'Andre Payne will be here. Jalyn Holmes told me he plans to be here. A number of the commits will be here. Possibly David Cornwell. Poona Ford is a possibility. We'll see as we get closer to the game.
