If I had my choice I want Clemson and FSU. That won't happen though. Va Tech snd Miami is my guess as well

FSU is a national brand that brings TV ratings regardless of geographic market. Miami is as well, but brings a less desirable image. The SEC wants in NC and VA as well. Could get interesting. However, if FSU rings Slive's phone I don't see them passing.

We better pray to God, Allah, Jehovah, Krishna, Buddha, Oden, and Shoshana the forest temptress that the SEC does not expand into the North Carolina or Virginia markets. If it's hard enough at the moment to recruit out of there with our recent lack of success, it will only be even harder then.

VA Tech would be a cool road trip. If we pick off two from the ACC looks like Mizzou would head to the West. Would rather them be in the east but oh well

I'd be surprised to see NC split from Duke. Lotta history there, and both are basketball schools anyway

If it happened, I guess Mizzou would move to the west and both new schools would join the easy?

Its all about the money and tv markets. I think V tech would be a lock and then a NC team. If we could get unc to part ways with duke I think it would be them. If not, nc st.

Maryland is in court regarding the $50+M exit fee leaving the ACC. All eyes are watching this case to determine any next steps.

DC has a number of VT grads and every so often they play a game early in the season in DC. The Virginia legislature stuck their necks out to get VT into the ACC and some say that UVA and VT are joined at the hips, so trying to leave will generate a lot of discussion.

If Maryland gets out of the ACC without having to pay the exit fee, the ACC could be in trouble with other teams leaving like Clemson and FSU which views the most recent teams to come to the ACC as more evidence that they are a basketball conference.

well due to conference politics its pretty certain that Clemson,FSU, and GT will NOT be invited to the conference.

so if your going to make a valid list then you should leave those teams off of it which doesn't leave us a lot of choices.
I think maybe NC State and ???
I personally wouldn't want any team from the north east but its possible that we could get another from the big 12, but I think VT would be the best fit.

UNC is Slive's "Eleanor" and he's always wanted the Heels in the SEC for numerous reason outside of football. They are a top 5 womens program. have a top medical and Law school and a top tier AAU member. Plus getting into that market would be the final blow to the ACC imo. Not sure what direction the SEC goes but one of the schools will be an AAU member or come from a non-SEC footprint. UM isn't leaving the ACC unless it's for B1G.

Carolina doesn't go anywhere without Duke.
