UGA seems to have the stigma for some reason. Perception is sometimes worse than reality.

That's because of our weed policy that leads to suspension for the first offense. Athens PD is also very tough on the football players.

How about actual NCAA stats instead of making stuff up?

Bray: Total Offense #19, Passing #26, Passing YPG #13, Passing Efficiency #29
Bridgewater: Total Offense #26, Passing #27, Passing YPG #18, Passing Eff. #8

Interception %: Bray 2.66 Bridgewater 1.91 - tied to Passing Efficiency

Team Total Offense: UT #18 UL #52

Bridgewater bests Bray in efficiency due to interception frequency and completion %. All other meaningful stats Bray posts better. I did not show total yards, etc. because of the differences in talent at receiver. UT blows UL out of the water in total offense. UT's offense was quick strike with an intermediate to long passing game featured. UL was shorter, ball control route driven with bubble screens, etc. Due to the nature of the offensive scheme Bridgewater posts better efficiency - it is simply a safer, more conservative passing scheme. In addition, Bridgewater benefited from playing lesser competition throughout the year and had a better defense backing him such that he did not have to pass as much or take as many chances in attempts to come from behind.

Bridgewater is a fine QB for the system he plays in. But if he were asked to create offense like Bray was he would have been in way over his head. In no way have I ever been a fan of Bray and feel that he contributed to our downfall with his attitude and self centered, childish BS. But as a QB, especially this past year, he proved his talent is at the top of the charts. UT failed because of coaching and bad defensive schemes.

FWIW Cincy finished #36 in total offense while using two QBs, the first one having nearly screwed up their season.

Yeah bc team numbers, nature of system or conference tell the story of a QB.

The nature of the system is the biggest BS. If Teddy would be over his head in UT's O then Bray would be a fish out of water in L'ville system. Due to the nature of offense Bray boast better numbers in yards per game, total O and TD. But I guess it's all about him having a better supporting D and playing in the Big East. Each team played 4 teams in the Top 20 in Total D.

They've also had players get suspended for ridiculous things like driving a scooter without a license. Living in Atlanta, I hear a ton about UGA football. Seems to me most of the stuff is minor. Much worse has been documented in recent years at Bama, Barn, UF and UT.

If we are going to base everything off of stats then Colt Brennan, Ken Dorsey, and Chris Weinke must've been awesome pro qbs. College stats and pro prospects don't go hand in hand.

Timmy Chang will go down as the best QB in NFL history.

I find it odd people are calling Bray better because of weak competition. Look at Brays stats against SEC opponents vs OOC opponents. Bray also benefited from a great offensive line where he was only touched a couple times all year

What kind of suspension would you like to see for a weed test? Because the guys that screw up bad enough have been kicked out.

I would be much harsher than current SEC schools punishment for drug offenses. Caught/busted with weed? 4 game suspension 1st offense. 2nd time, your gone. Telling a kid he can break the law 4-5 times before his playing football comes to an end just tells them it's worth the risk. JMO

Trust me, I gagged. Truth is he's solid, makes few mistakes, and has a chance to have 3 NC's. He'll get drafted before Teddy.

He won't be drafted ahead of Teddy man. AJ should've come out this year if he was such a good pro prospect. The crop of QBs is extremely weak. He should've jumped but he's not good enough to jump nor will he be anything as a pro. Brodie Croyle was a better pro prospect than AJ and you see how that turned out.

Watch Louisville play and you will realize that Bridgewater is special. Kid is a winner as well as being a very good QB. He's the Louisville offense and was big in every win for the Cardinals last year.

If AJ gets drafted over Teddy, I will quit posting here. Come on guy. Jason White is a star in the NFL isn't he

Not all of uga's incidents have been so minor as skateboard incidents either. UGA is no tougher than anyone else when you get down to it, I don't want to hear it. There has been a bunch of trouble in athens certainly not ass trival as some make out.

I'll be shocked if AJ is in the league more than a couple years if at all. Andre Woodson was a more talented player and he was a scrub maybe two years before getting cut.

Reason that 30+ colleges wanted the kid. He could start anywhere.

Fl would have been been played in the SECCG with Teddy over Driskel.

So this is the policy you would like to see at UT? Just want to be clear on that because I'm sure your current policy is nowhere near that.

You're both right, IMHO. You can't give a kid 3-4 mulligans on smoking weed and have a good policy. And UTs policy has been pretty much just that. Last I heard you can fail 3 tests before feeling any heat. Sure someone one here knows better specifics/the exact policy.

I will disagree with you on that. Most of the incidents have been for weed and license issues. Like I said, all SEC teams have their fair share of knuckleheads who screw up bad. I believe CMR has done his best when it comes to the punishment he hands out. The serious offenses have been handled very well.

You're SURE because you know our program so well?

Yes it is.

I am pretty sure UT has a 4-5 strike policy and your out. Of course that depends on how good of a player you are. Da'Rick Rogers, 4-5 strikes. A kid sitting at 4th string and his 1st offense, I doubt he makes bail before he is cut loose. I would like to see alot tougher punishments for players who break the law.
