yep. i concur. I admit, i've bought crap before. But knowing it's crap is all the difference.

That's not necessarily a bad thing, if you buy a trimmer for $120 knowing that in 2 years its going in the dumpster, well, you're not getting that bad of a deal.

Some people have a hard tine with that though, especially in the age of Depot/Lowes where they'll happily run you out the door with a knock off.

that reminds me of the first time i bought a trimmer at home depot. sure enough the 2nd summer it wouldn't stay running. So i look at another one.. My dad comes along saying 'F that! we'll fix this thing' hour later.. it's running like a sewing machine. after we got it running he made me (well i say made me in a sense because i was 31 at the time) tear it down and rebuild it. now when it doesn't run. tada! same trimmer. 6 years. although i want one of those 4 cycle trimmers.

Biggest thing with any small engines today is good gasoline. Ethanol blends suck if they're in there for more than a few weeks.

Wife got a Husqvarna 4 cycle, its surprisingly powerful, they've come a long way in the last 5 years. Only hitch is they burn through enough 30w so you're constantly adding.

In reality, a quart will last a few years.

Hman...

An older gentleman that takes care of Behr when I'm at work, had a heart attack and died Friday morning. Not only did I lose a really good friend, which is most important, I lost a caretaker that genuinely cared about Behr and the feelings were mutual. Behr also spent over 13 hours in my apt. without food and not being able to "go".... and he didn't.

Why I thought it might be interesting to you is...he was a good man, everyone liked him and Behr could see that.

My friends name was Hunter.

I know that was between you and hman, but sorry to hear that.

That's what I was comparing. I subtracted scholarships/grants from the cost of living and tuition and then compared the two.

Hope you like mandatory Chapel attendance, religion courses and strict fraternization policies at Carson-Newman.
