Jay Graham has left Tennessee to go to FSU

Anyone know which legacies/big names he was the lead recruiter for??

He made a big impact on Hurd. Yet from the news that I am getting from the Hurd camp this morning, they hate to see him go but it hasn't changed their opinion on how they feel about the new staff.

UT is still good with Hurd. Now, they just need to get a good RB coach to come in and start building relationships.

Other that Jones.....Jay is the only coach that I am sick about losing. Has to be money and if they were trying to renegoiate the contract why leave. Has to be a higher position. Just so sick right now....and losing Jay Graham is the only coach that could make me sick. Jay you are a Vol.....please tell me we were trying to get him more money someone....anyone....

It sucks because he was the best pure coach on the staff (that we know about). It was embarrassing how we ran the ball in 2011, and he coached up 1650yds between 3 guys

Gotta believe that they would have bumped Jay's salary and given him some kind of added title if there was not some other motive here. Agree on the Taylor speculation. If all checks out with the NCAA stuff, I think he is the guy

Why do you think he's a troll? I've never seen any trolling from him.

He's 100% a troll. He constantly gives UT the backhanded compliments over and over. Every time a 2 or 3 star commits to UT he's one of the first to post and congratulate UT but if UF signed the same kid he's btching up a storm. He's not your normal ahole troll, he uses the nice guy facade and even loves to hide behind jesus and christianity. If someone calls him out and says something mean to him he'll respond with "That's not very christian of you" blah blah. He's anything but a nice friendly rival fan. Pay closer attention to his posts.

1. It amazes me to no end that people are saying "something isn't right here" as if Graham was committing violations or something, and then are 100% behind Trooper *****ing Taylor. The same Trooper Taylor who is currently under investigation by the NCAA and isn't a great coach to begin with.

2. People are going to spin this however they want to, but the fact that Jones can't keep good coaches (and a UT player, no less) is about as Dooleyesque as it gets. Bit of a red flag...

Even if most of us want Trooper, it won't happen.

What ever Tennessee actually wants, we get exactly what we didn't want. It's science.

The real victims in all of this are the kids, such as Marquez North, who put their faith in these coaches and then these coaches up and leave on a moments notice. It is sickening, on all levels. This is one of the reasons why my love for the game has tempered as it has over the last 5 years or so. There is absolutely no loyalty in the game and that is what made Tennessee such a special place for years and years. Who cares who we hire to replace Jay. Chances are, the guy will be gone after next year any way. Especially if we sign Trooper Taylor.

Taylor is such an imbecile that I actually wouldn't be surprised if Jones hired him. He would fit right in with the Cincinnati staff.

The only positive of Trooper being hired is he can recruit exceptionally well. As far as I am concerned it doesn't matter what the NCAA says or does unless they prove he actually did something wrong.

I don't think Trooper can coach and I stand by what I've said about him being a towel waving tool.

I won't be upset if we hire or don't hire the guy. There's positives and negatives.

If Butch didn't see fit to match or raise FSU's offer, then he must have seen deficiencies in Graham's coaching abilities. In that case, I suspect an upgrade in RB coaching is in the offing.

I think alot of it stems from familiarity. Jay Graham did not feel comfortable with the coaches around him. And, to top it off, CBJ hired an entire staff with primarily little SEC experience to come in and make more than him. Like alot more than him. It's sucks on all counts. I hate this constant staff turnover bull crap.

The other assistant coaches are a LOT more experienced than Graham, yes? So they should make more money. He's a relatively young coach.

He can recruit well when using questionable tactics. There are plenty of other guys who are just as good at actual clean recruiting and much better coaches.
