This is what happens when coaches are way overpaid with absolutely less of a resume than JayG. I said it when the salaries were posted that he should have been insulted and he was. Best of luck to him and I am sure he will be appreciated there unlike here!!

I guess I must finally agree with you on this Bruin :hi:

Jay felt like he didn't get paid enough. It's probably true. Oh well, I guess.

This sums it up pretty well:

Just because some is a VFL doesn't mean u can afford to pay them less. Next to last on the staff... #undervalued

I owe Bruin an apology. He said he would be pissed because he was so much lower than everyone else. Bruin, please accept my apology.

It's sad we are here but coaches do care greatly where they fit in the pecking order. I always enjoy debating with you and just wish I would have been wrong here.

After the North committ he should have gotten a nice raise.

Why do these guys view UT as a stepping stone or transition place. Tennessee is much better than that. And for a letter winner to leave once he has his chance to be here, that hurts. I know this is a career for these guys but he was making 275k that isn't exactly chump change.

Tennessee isnt what is used to be. People still cant wrap their heads around that. It is what it is.

CBJ basically told him that everyone else on staff was a more valuable coach than he was. I'm sure FSU is going to pay him big.

At the end of the day, it's a job. As I fan, I don't get it. As an employee, I do.

I'm at least glad that he waited until NSD was over. These former players of ours are killing me. It sucks being dissed. First Tee and now Graham.

Any of you guys on here would take a job that offered better pay/better situation. Anyone hating on him for leaving has never had multiple professional options offered to them. The timing is a little odd, but eff it. He's gone, get someone else, move on.

He actually improved the running game last year. He needed a raise. Any guesses who they'll go after to replace him?
