Chances we hire a no name replacement who has no success recruiting SEC territory? Pretty high, I'd say. Jones/Hart needed to match whatever FSU was offering.

Jay just went on my SHIITT list. No loyalty. He knew how the big orange nation would feel. I don't want to hear it's a career move. BS..

I owe Bruin an apology. He said he would be pissed because he was so much lower than everyone else. Bruin, please accept my apology.

Seriously doubt this was a money issue.

So he just decided to take the same position at FSU???????? **** u talking bout

edit: didnt know he was recruiting cord., still i think its bull**** because he knows just how bad this timing is. The fact that Butch only kept him then he just left before spring practice really pissed me off though

This is what happens when coaches are way overpaid with absolutely less of a resume than JayG. I said it when the salaries were posted that he should have been insulted and he was. Best of luck to him and I am sure he will be appreciated there unlike here!!

I agree, he was the lowest paid or close to it. This one is on Hart and CBJ for not retaining talent.

He's got to be leaving for a higher position right? No way he's leave his alma mater for a lateral position?

i dont think many people see fsu as a lateral position

its probably ALOT easier to get RB's to commit there too right now

I know this isn't the way to look at things, im as pissed as everyone else, but if he made this decision a month ago we'd be worse off. No North, no Lee, etc.

If true though, eff him.

Why do these guys view UT as a stepping stone or transition place. Tennessee is much better than that. And for a letter winner to leave once he has his chance to be here, that hurts. I know this is a career for these guys but he was making 275k that isn't exactly chump change.
