'14 GA RB Nick Chubb

The way he sets up blocks and jukes reminds me of Travis Stephens. I know Chubb is bigger but his style and cutting ability is very similar to my untrained eye.

Meyer will probably come up with some pitch for Nick next NSD like "I woke up this morning with a massive chubb for you, Chubb, and think you should be a Buckeye."

Nope, he will just give his mother a job at Ohio State...that should do it.

We need to set up shop here with Chubb. We need 3-4 RBs in the 2014 class. Love Chubb and Paulk's game personally. The back I like the most we won't get(Racean Thomas) but these two guys can play Day 1 for UT. They would fit this spread system great too. I would like to take Stanley Williams or Myles Autry(Tavon Austin clone) as an athlete.

Any top rb or better a mix of top rbs is key. My list begins with Jalen Hurd out of Beech High school. 6'2, 210, speed, power, 300+ ypg. Maybe the top running back in the country in our backyard and a Vols fan.

P Fort said he thinks Chubb is a top 100 player. Paul attended some kind of an event (showcase, camp, etc.) and Chubb dominated.

“georgia is in the lead,” nick chubb (cedartown, ga./cedartown) said. “i really like them. I have been down there more and i am real comfortable with the coaching staff. They remind me of the staff here at home -- and they are both bulldogs. They have a couple great backs right now, but those guys will be juniors my freshman year if i went there. And they will probably go to the league so i could probably learn a lot from them my freshman year.”

the espn watch list running back said that the bulldogs are on top due mainly to familiarity.

Watch list rb nick chubb says that in-state georgia leads but is open to all suitors right now.“georgia is leading because i haven’t really been around yet,” chubb said. “i haven’t made it to ohio state and tennessee which were my first offers. i like alabama a lot and i need to go there some more. I am going to georgia tech on tuesday and i need to get down to florida. I am still trying to make it around to all my other schools and my other options. i am going to tennessee saturday.”

the volunteers are hosting a junior day on saturday.

“they were my first offer, and that meant a lot,” chubb said. “they hold it over my head sometimes. The have a good depth chart and they are probably on me the hardest of any school right now. They always message me on facebook and twitter. I haven’t had a chance to go up there yet but hopefully i will see something i like.”

with 12 offers so far and 12 months until signing day, the 5-foot-11, 210-pound junior has no timetable on making a decision.

“i want to visit some schools first and if i see one i like the best then i will make a decision,” chubb said. “so i guess that will come after all of these junior days. I want to see some practices at the sec schools to see what they do. I also want to see ohio state and georgia tech practices.”

This is good to hear even if it is just flattering recruit speak.

To have the ability to make a grown man cry or run out it the street and yell Go Vols!!! at 16 years old must be pretty cool.

I don't like the "They hold it over my head" comment for being the first to offer kinda sounds like that gets on his nerves or aggravates him.

I doubt it. That was probably a tongue in cheek remark. I think these kids just run out of pretty ways to say the same thing over and over again. He really enjoyed his time here.
