Does anyone know if we will get in trouble for this. Will anyone say butch bought his ticket since there right next to each other.

i think i remember seeing someone say that coaches are allowed to give recruits 3 tickets to sporting events within like 30 miles of the campus or something

It's kinda nice to see a coach actually give two ****s about a big time recruit. I also appreciate jalen explicitly saying how he wasn't yet on board with UT. That's nice for delineation purposes come time when info becomes sparse.

Any prospective student athlete regardless of where they are from can be given 3 Tks to all sporting events at tenn. Not close to a violation

"It's been great. I came in here and it's been a different experience from last time," Hurd said. "Coach Jones is doing a great job and I think he's going to be very successful. I don't know if I'm going to be a part of it yet. I'm just taking my visits and taking it slowly and enjoying it.

"I wanted to see relationships," Hurd said. "The last time I came here the relationships wasn't on point as much as I wanted them to be. I came in today and I'm sitting down with coach Jones and coach Graham spending the whole day with them. It was a great experience with them.

"I was one of the first guys here and the last guys to leave and they have been giving my family and me a lot of love. It was just great. I spent a lot of time with coach Graham and coach Jones. It was awesome."

"I'm going to go to every school I'm looking at during spring practice just to see how they operate as a team and on the field. I will definintely be back here," Hurd offered."

"This past year it didn't really matter. This season coming up is going to affect me," Hurd said. "It does matter (how the schools do) as well as the relationship with the coaches. "I know they will be better. But I do need to see progress and I think they will do good."

seems like a fairly practical, well thought kid. like his approach to the recruiting process.

I sure hope so but Ohio State sites says he loves Ohio State..

Five-star Hurd impressed with Vols

I saw him play in Jackson and I have never seen such a player. This is kid is something else.
If we were to get him and what we seem to have going on.. would be great..

I have no doubt that Tennessee can impress every recruit that visits. The thing everyone should remember is this-----certain schools that we recruit against are very good at providing incentives beyond impressive facilities. Cars, money and women tend to make a recruit forget about impressive facilities.

Deep down, I believe everyone of you know this. Just remember this when we lose 4 and 5 star instate recruits, were we on a level playing field? I happen to think not.

Living in the past I got a good laugh out of that, but who said anything about a powerhouse? Isn't like we needed a powerhouse to beat the vols last year, just a bunch of 50's and 60's ranked recruiting classes from the bobby Johnson days. But if the vols want to live off want was done in the pass and not care about the current times I don't think anyone in the sec would mind that. Back to the topic hurd will probably sign with Tosu IMO.

So you're bragging about beating a 5-7 team? The difference between UT and Vandy is 5-7 for UT is an outrage and you can almost expect it with Vandy

every team in the sec does it...some are more discreet than others. others have more to give (auburn/bama).

the difference is some teams have crystal footballs in their trophy cases that say 2000+ or more recent.

I was sitting in my apartment last night and heard a lot of noise coming from outside, so I walked out to see what was going on and Tiny was there with some other big dudes I didn't recognize and had his arm around Jalen's shoulder as he was introducing him to everyone. He said they had been "brothers" for a long time.

Op forgot Wilson Central.. and to answer your question I think they still win out. Remember JH was injured for a large portion of the season.

IMHO, they would outscore all of them. Them and AE wouldn't have been close, and I think they would have been able to beat WS by a couple scores and the Maryville game would have been a win. They were pretty disciplined and could grind it out. Not sure maryville could drive enough times to overcome the constant big plays. Its demoralizing to see the other team score in three plays when you know it will take you ten or eleven plus.
