From what I have been reading UT is not really in the running for Hurd. I am hoping that will change. :crossfingers:
What I want to know is what in the funk are these damn recruiting services think they are doing giving him a four star rating? This dude is so off the freakin charts, he deserves 6*s (out of a 5* rating system). All he does is put up herculean numbers and make opponents look like they don't even belong on the same field.
I can see them maybe moving him to WR and using him just like we did with Cordarelle Patterson. Almost a hybrid role. Lots of runs and ST work. Having him an Marquez North in the same lineup would almost be unfair to our opponents. He should be CBJ's No.1 priority in 2014.
It is true. He was expected to be an early commit before CDD got canned. I expect him to be a VAHL
That sounds nice, but it's straight up homerism. Butch doesn't have any say whether he stays or not. All he can do is make him a priority in this next recruiting class.
^ Exactly!
Bash me if you want to but this one has the Jalen Ramsey and Vonn Bell feel all over it IMO! Really hope I am wrong for the record.
I don't think it's quite the same. Ramsey never really had interest....wanted to go somewhere else. Bell, we (Dooley) never recruited him enough so he ended up elsewhere.
Jones is showing the love and Hurd has interest. Those are two things together that never existed at the same time for those other two.
I was just talking to my roommate about how freakish an athlete CP was and that a player like him is very rare and doesn't come along often.
Well, Jalen Hurd appears to be the next CP. If this upcoming season shows promise for 2014, I think a great selling point would be the offense UT is capable of putting together. We have an insane amount of firepower on this side of the ball, given that a QB steps up and becomes a true starter.
