I agree. I think he got an initial pop based off of name recognition. But UF is a lot easier to recruit just based on the sheer number of blue chip talent in the state. You saw in Urban's last year at UF with Tebow gone, they were a different team. I think Mullen and Charlie Strong deserve a lot of credit for UFs success as well. Urban will do well for a couple of years simply due to the Big 12 being down. Outside of Michigan, that conference is horrible right now.

I completely agree with you. He didn't help Tebow in college at all by not making him change his throwing motion. Urban has never taken a low rated player and made him better. Smoke and mirrors

UF was crumbling like a cookie after tebow left, URB is overated as a head coach. He found a gimmick offense and a super player to run it, after that the truth was gettin exposed and he bolted from UF. He may have had health issues but they were nothing like he was potraying and all that talk about spending more time with his family was HOGWASH,IMHO! If that had been the case he wouldn't have bolted to the time demands of ESPN before BOLTING to the osu. In short he is a phoney through and through if you ask me.

I figured out why this thread goes into panic mode everyday. Vonn's brother is feeding reporters false information, so they will report it, and get this thread in a panic, so the post count quickly goes up, because VB wants that 10,000th post. That's my story from a reliable sorry, so TIFWIW.

CUM ain't nothing but a winner. Hard to argue with his record. He's done it everywhere.

Yeah, he had some down years at the end there at UF and jumped ship. But he came back and took a 6-7 OSU team to a 12-0 finish.

I don't like him one bit, but I respect him as a coach (similar to Saban, Spurrier).
