AFC Playoff Game Thread: Baltimore at Denver (CBS, Sat 4:30PM EST)

I thought yankee meant this years playoffs. sorry thought it was sarcasm.

I do not understand all of the cynicism of PM here.He is the greatest UT player of all time, and one of the 10 best in NFL history IMO. This game was not his best but was clearly lost by the coaching staff the last 2 minutes of the 4th.

It's okay, he will receive another MVP award.

Without Peyton Manning this is a .500 team. Can't blame him for their safety not being able to make a routine play.

So it looks like either way, the AFC championship will be a rematch of a game earlier in the season.

Peyton made a rookie mistake but at least a vol qb is in the nfl playoffs and not riding the pine. Look out Canadian football, here comes Tim Tebow!

Manning is coming off four neck surgeries and had to wear a glove because he can barely grip the ball in the cold. I'd say he played pretty damn well.

Disastrous conservatism by John Fox. How can you start trying to run the clock out by handing the ball off with almost four minutes left when the only thing Baltimore can do is throw deep? How can you not let your HOF QB try even one play action throw to get a 1st down and win the game right there? How can you not try at least one pass with 30 seconds left and 2 timeouts?

Stunningly awful play on the tying touchdown. Probably the worst defensive play I've ever seen in the NFL.

offense did not do its job.

defense did not do its job.

you get 14 special teams points and lose, you choked something fierce

I'm not blaming Manning for the loss but if it was Brady everyone would have said it was his fault for the loss...

Honestly, I can't recall a time where Brady was blamed for a loss. But I'm not paying that much attention to NE.

No question Rahim Moore was slow to get over but even at that he was still there in plenty of time to make the play just failed to do so. I agree worst defensive play in Playoff history.
