The Topic That Will Never Die XIX

would love to but my mind starts thinking about all the things I'd have to get put together in order to move and I have no idea how we could do it. Guess I need to write out a plan

we wanted Knoxville (because we know it well) and neither of us know much about Nashville

Trust me I know it's not that simple. When I was younger my family moved all around East Tennessee, which isn't near the move you would be making, but I understand what it's like to have to pick up and move.

Never lived in Nashville but my wife's aunt does and they love it up there. There is so much to do for all ages.

yeah moving after college was a breeze. Packed all my stuff in a truck and set out across the country to AZ. Even moving back to VA was that simple.

funny thing is we sat down over dinner a couple weeks ago and set out a 5yr plan to get us back to TN. Didn't figure on 2 weeks

only reservation about Nashville would be the Hispanic gangs in NBA apparel roaming the streets. Heard it was an issue :)

You could always redo another kitchen.

 Not fimilar with that, but then again I don't spend a ton of time up there.

New house needs a kitchen remodel, but that's years down the road. Cannot afford what I would want to do it at this point and time.

Speaking of ut apparel, I bought some stuff for my dad, me, and my sisters dog from football fanatics. I didn't like 2 of the items, but decided to wait until after Christmas to return just in case other items needed to go back, which my sisters dog item I needed to go up a size. Well I returned the items, just checked delivery, it was done 12/31. I contact F.F. this morning, they responded saying they didn't show any returns and asked me which items I returned and what I wanted and they would take care of it. Good customer service!

They never work out. Just wing it.

here's what we did last year (thread courtesy of os13)

http://www.volnation.com/forum/pub/...me-kitchen-redo-thread.html?highlight=kitchen

in retrospect it wasn't that bad (in both time and cost)

I remember the thread PJ. Nice lookin' kitchen. My kitchen is small and we are talking about taking down a non-load bearing wall to add space and make the dinning room and kitchen into one big room. Also talking about moving the sink to another wall. So plenty of plans and ideas but no money to do it. Probably try to do something in 3-5 years.

I understand that. We spent about 3 years paying off debt and saving up for the kitchen so we could pay cash. Very glad we did

Might not cost as much as you think.
Let me know if you want me to look at it.

Cool. When we get ready to start getting estimates I will get your info. Right now we are still trying to get all the small things fixed first. Looks like windows are going to be the first thing to be replaced. Old windows that are costing us money in heating and cooling.

My windows suck.
I don't do windows.

in our home renovations the windows were the 2nd thing we replaced (pretty sure they were original to our 80yo house). First thing was to have every outlet in our house grounded and replaced. Wife thought I was crazy but at least 4 houses have burned in our neighborhood because of faulty wiring

House fire is my worst fear
