What are you going to do next season?

Just a question for all those who say that they are going to wait and see what CBJ does before they believe or give him any support.

What are you going to do next season?

A quote from another post

"I am not gonna invest time, money, and energy into this hire until I can digest a whole season"

I have read plenty of post just like the one above, to all of you that think this way I ask.

What are you guys/gals going to do next season? Not wear your orange? Don't buy tickets or merchandise?

My alma mater is starting up football after about 70 years without a team. I preordered my season tix and have hotel reservations for the first game. Gonna get with some friends this Spring/Summer and figure out another couple of games to attend. May even go watch them play away at Campell and make a nice mountain trip out of it.

I have not been to a game in Knoxville since 2010 and will not be going to any this year even though I have access to office tickets (very good seats) that have often gone unused by anyone in recent years. If hart had made a hire that caused me to believe that they are serious about competing for SEC championships over there, I'd show up. As it is, the program is joke. I'm just gonna park my ass here, heckle the idiots who refuse to admit the plain facts and hope for better days.

If championships are the metric, UT has been on a downward spiral for way too long. Hamilton was the scapegoat, but with the final vestiges of MH cleared away it seems clear that the powers that be still do not have the vision required to compete for SEC championships.

I have hung in for a very long time but have recently made the difficult decision to no longer make a financial commitment as long as the product on the field does not justify it.
Not a true fan imo, tifwiw, smh

Watch Kevin Sumlin win a national championship, while telling my wife what a idiot Mike Hamilton is.

Watch them on TV unless it's pay-per-view. This past season is the first season I can remember that I didn't purchase the PPV. If I go to a game it will be because someone gave me tickets. I have no desire to buy any UT merchandise or apparel. When they are competitive again I'll come back. The UY administration has shown me no reason to believe they are serious about being a championship level program.
Who, exactly, is the UY administration?

We return them to the AD and they redistribute the unused tickets according to some list they keep.
As for your friends. I'm guessing there will be plenty of tickets going for cheap on the street.

Don't give them back to the UT administration. True Vol fans would love to have them. Just put them up for sale on this site. I bet you could sell them to fans who support the program through thick and thin.

I've suffered through every home game and away games at Bama for years. I'm no meteorologist, but I'd guess I'll be doing the same again next season.

I'm one of those "wait and see" people. I'm just tired of this merry go around. Different horse to ride on, but same ride until someone shows differently. You get so pumped, excited, and hopeful for the season and then it comes crashing down.

I haven't renewed my season tickets or donated this year for the first time in a long time. That does NOT mean I won't cheer for the vols or watch every game. I will probably just have a few friends over to the house and watch it from the comfort of my own for a change.

I always buy a new shirt and will again this year.

Just because I'm not excited about Cbj, doesn't mean I'm not a vol fan or cheering for our team, it just means I'm using caution before being sold on him. Win games and people will come. If you win, they will come. They will most definitely come.

I have purchased season tickets for the last 45 years and they are the same tickets my father first purchased in 1933. I will get them again this year and don't understand these only support when we are winning o called fans. Lets get behind our new coach and his staff and show the recruits that we are still willing to support our football program.

It's not my decision. I get the choice of use the tickets or not. If I use the tickets, I pay face value into the kitty. If nobody wants to use the tickets, they go back to the AD. I will admit that it's easier to go to the games when we're kicking off at 3:30est so it's not all about how many games they're winning. Of course, the best teams tend to get that CBS slot.

Drop season tickets from 4 to 2 with standard donation.
I will attend a few games but my Saturdays will now be for more deer hunting and working on my golf game.

Apathy is what I got. If the Administration is not serious about competing then why should I.

Who said anything about Gruden? I knew that sorry little punk would NEVER come to our dead program in a million years! I would have been very happy to get Patterson, Strong, Fisher, or even Fedora. Heck, I'd rather have Taggart than what we have now!

Get behind the Vols or get out of the way! GBO
