Anyone, ideas on defensive rookie of the year?

Upshaw for the Ravens and Hightower for the Pats and Chandler Jones for the Pats (UFC champ Jon Jones' brother)

Upshaw 60 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 1 ff
Hightower 57 tackles, 4 sacks
Jones 38 tackles, 6 sacks, 3 ff

I don't know how these 3 stack up tovto rest of the rookies, these were the only 3 i know of with decent numbers

I think Hayward wins. If not, it should definitely be one of the other three.

Unbelievable homerism. A new gameplan and two fully healthy backs are helping Peyton, plus young receivers that are adjusted to the NFL. Peyton has all kinds of help on that offense, not to mention his defense is pretty good too. I mean they are just third overall in yards allowed this season. And Von Bell is one of the most feared pass rushers in the game right now.

Of course the Vikings haven't improved from a scoring aspect. You're telling me that a new super pass happy team is suddenly scoring more than they did a year ago when they weren't so pass happy? Shocking. A run first (and second and third) team isn't leading an extremely pass happy league in scoring? Shocking. Your stats look pretty, but they are kind of like Luck's pass yardage. When taken as a whole, it doesn't mean that much.

Denver tries to be run-first, but it ain't happening. Again, they are #9 in rush attempts, and #18 in rush yards. Kudos to them for having "2 healthy backs" since that's all it takes to have success in the run game, right?

Vikings have only won 3 games where the opposition scored more than 14 (Detroit, Jacksonville, and St. Louis). This team's turnaround success is all about the D.

BTW, Manning's winning the ESPN poll, so it's not just about homerism.

This is so full of win, I had to revisit:

League leader in rush attempts:
1. Seattle
.
.
.
8. Minnesota
9. Denver

Manning admitted after Sunday's game against the Browns that he "simply is not as good" as he was prior to his offseason neck surgeries, the Denver Post reports.

Thought this was funny. PM is a damn man.

I never liked that argument. Doesn't water down what he has done this year. The rest of that team is booty. He has put up those numbers being double and triple teamed. But so it goes.

It kind of does water it down, because he saw a lot of prevent D this year.
