'13 JUCO DT Ben Bradley (Auburn commmit)

So here comes the did not want, Staley's dirty, etc. comments. Stuff that wasn't said when Staley came here.

Love the our facilities are better comments. Do you think recruits give a rip of whether one school's building is newer, bigger or better than another? Really? They want it to be nice with all they need to improve themselves with coaches/trainers that know what they are doing. Period. They want to like the staff, the school, the players ,etc. They want a program to believe in and UT has not been on that stage in quite awhile.

Does it not look possible he is shopping those kids around right now to his next employer ??

Yep, I see what you mean. We definitely are not a winning program . Until we are the big time recruits are going to be few and far between. Still have faith in Butch !!!! Do more with less !!!!

Ole Miss and Vandy...not winning programs

no it doesnt.

The kids are interested in completely different schools. Bradley and Toby have mutual interest in Nebraska, but that is it, as far as I know. We need wins soon...even with a new staff, which means there will be some stability here for the next 3-4 years, we are still getting killed with negative recruiting.

Agree on wins. That is the next and hopefully final piece to the puzzle. We need to knock off a ranked team next year and get to a bowl game. I think both are possible with this staff and the talent we have returning.

Butch has proven he can do more with less on a small stage..here is the big stage--if he can do it here then recruits/analysts sit up and take notice. Then we don't have to resort to weird "recruiting" practices to get players (whatever you take that to mean).

this is the sec, the more with less days i fear are over.

Mods.... If Bradley is no longer committed to UT can you please edit the thread title just to avoid confusion? According to rivals he is no longer committed.

I have nothing to base this on but I got a gut feeling that we are going to see a more disciplined coached team next year. I believe that there are some players that haven't had the chance to show what they can do cause of the lack of good coaching and a head coach that didn't know how to develop good talent and didn't know how or where to use the talent we have. Unfortunately, we have gotten use to seeing bad coaching that maybe we have forgotten what good coaching looks like (I speak about here at UT) I am so hoping that we see coached up, over achieving team for once. We have got to change the loser mentality and I think that is going to be CBJ first major challenge. Well, thats my rant for the day. No its not a deep detailed X's and O's but comes from a fan since 70's of Curt Watson Carl Johnson and many other great players of the past. This year, do I want to see wins YES! But I also want to see the UT swag again. When the Orange and White comes running out the tunnel the other team knows they are in for a fight of their lives! Stadium is rocking! Recruits are dying to be a Vol! I know it will take time but my Christmas wish for this coming year is that we start seeing the shades of the past greatness again. Merry Christmas everybody !! VOL4LIFE!!!

Everyone plays dirty in recruiting. We shouldn't be naive.

I agree that every good recruiter works in the grey area. If staley is a guy that is only out to get himself a job in this process I don't think that's anything more than being in that gray area. I can live with that. I just hope that's the extent of his involvement with us.
