'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

Poole obituary-he reminds me of Sanchez-always hitting our O linemen in the posterior trying to find a hole to run through.:)

No offense to Tauren, but he was mediocre at best. Some of you guys just look at stats and they don't tell the whole picture. In fact, they are very misleading. I could drive a mini-van through some of the holes that he was given. Look at the UF game last year, how did TP do then?

However IMO, the last good back to come out of UT was Montario Hardesty. That guy ran the ball like he had something to prove every down. Hardesty was 5x the back Poole was.

UT brought in the #1 RB (BB) and MH held him off and started over him every game. Do you think TP could have done that the whole year?

I don't understand the hate on TP. Was he one of the great Tennessee backs? Of course not. But he was a Vol that represented the big Orange well. Never got in trouble that I remember. Practiced, sweat, and shed blood on Shields Watkins field. He is a Vol and deserves our respect IMO.

Couldn't have said it better myself. :hi:

SJt18 started all of this Poole BS. Poster was minding his own business when he comes with the you said Lane would start over Poole BS. He's done it in another thread too.

What percentage do you put on us landing this guy?

Idk, hard to say. If we had decent year & the previous staff were still here he would already be a Vol (Hubbs has even said that). He really likes Coach Graham & his mom really likes Tennessee but witht he staff changes it put Michigan right up there with us. I'd have to say 50/50 ATP to be honest.

Film is impressive...need this guy!

If indeed he would have been a Vol with DD then I have to assume we are still the heavy leader. I like our chances here

DG in CBJ's run heavy offense could make a Gurley/Lattimore type impact as a Freshmen. We need to land this dude bad!!

As you can tell by his film he is already familiar with the spread offense so it wouldn't be a huge adjustment for him.

This film was reassuring to me. First I've seen where he displays an ability to make people miss, get into open space and run away. I still don't believe he runs a 4.33, or whatever was reported - I'd guess somewhere in the 4.5's myself - but that's more than enough speed for somebody with his running style.

He has done that in so many of posts, especially if they involve Poole or Lane. I predicted Lane would start over Poole a few yrs ago and was wrong. Not sure out of all the posters who said the same thing that he remembered me.

D Gren definitely doesn't show 4.3 speed on the field, but he is plenty fast for a RB his size. I love how he is great at following blockers and ALWAYS delivers the hit! Gains a lot of yards after first contact. He should be more highly rated on 247 on measurable alone.
