Maybe, but he has not shown me enough to give me hope that he will improve that much. Skeeter has said that he has the talent, but just can't seem to mentally get over his injury. He ran scared and tentative most of the time, and looked confused in the open field. He had flashes of looking good, like the first half of USCe, but then Lattimore got injured, and he looked tentative again.

Plus, he injured his knee in high school and is now a junior in college. If he does not trust his knee by now I don't see how it can be assumed that he will, seems more of a matter of if not when now. Also, I just can't get that image out of my head of Lane slowing down and trying to dance around a freaking safety in the south carolina game.

Jump back a few years... replace Green with Bryce Brown and Neal with Hardesty, and you there were dozens of posts just like that.

People underestimate a senior RB in favor of the new kid on the block. Green would get his carries, but Neal is not going to go from being a very serviceable starter, to just getting some 3rd down carries.

Rightfully so, Green probably wanted to meet with Jones right away and see how he felt instead of leading us on. I respect that if thats the case.

That's possible. I don't know. Like thunder said its a good thing the meeting was moved to Saturday. That means Harris has cancelled his trip to Oregon. Jones has probably made him feel wanted and at ease over the phone and wants to bring the new WR coach with him.

Not hating but Skeeter hasn't been good at evaluating talent period. He jinxes every top recruit. First Lane was the best freshman RB since Jamal Lewis(not even close). Then he called Bonner as the best CB on the team(but then he never gets a shot at a problem position). I love all the AD stuff but I'll trust my own eyes when it comes to the players. Lane doesn't look like he'll ever be a top RB again.
