I'm the same as I was when the Dooley hire was announced. I didn't blame Dooley and I won't blame Jones if hired. I blamed the administration for the Dooley hire and will do the same on Jones. I really don't know how the UT administration has gotten so screwed up. Revolving door of Presidents/Chancellors. Hamilton and now Hart. One of my best friends is on the BOT and I have already called and blasted him. His only response is that the BOT pretty much just rubber stamp everything brought to them.

At this point, UT should just give itself the death penalty and shut down the football program. Or the SEC should just stick us in a lesser division with Missouri and Kentucky.

Butch Jones can't compete with UA, UF, LSU and UGA. What a joke. Homers will try to put a positive face on it just like with CDD, but the truth is, we all know it's a bad hire. Just like Martin. Just like Dooley.

Word. For someone who didn't want e-cred, thanks for aiding in dividing the fan base. You may have had info, but it's not what the AD wanted so you had people dreaming.

This is how I know he won't be coming. I seem to remember a few people popping in the Gruden thread saying "SUPPORT COACH STRONG!!!"....well he is not our coach, and neither is Butch Jones. UT is not seriously going to have a Kentucky level hire guys, stop believing EVERYTHING you hear.

Yay4Bray do you think it's a done deal still. Today's announcement of Jones is going to be one big smokescreen!!! Sorry to anyone who believed that guy.

You all need to grow up. The smell of your desperation stinks up the whole state of Tennessee. This guy can coach and he'll be given everything he needs to get the job done. The embarrassment is in how this search has been handled. The public rejectionss and the perception of TN football through the media has been painful I agree. Hart has certainly made the university AD look foolish the whole way. Let's support this next coach. I won't base my opinion of Jones on one game. He's young, energetic, runs a clean program, his players play hard for him. He's a diamond in the rough...it's gonna be good.

Well, so much for the conspiracy theories.

As it turns out our AD and our University really are THAT inept.

There was never gonna be a Gruden.

We are done as a football program.

I bet they paid this guy waaaaaaay too much for who he is just to get a coaching deal done.

Like I said reality is often much more mundane (and disappointing) than fantasy.

This whole Gruden thread, all 16 of them, is one big steaming pile of B.S.

Everybody hatibg jone's because somebody with a cute screen name you never met, had a 'source' tey couldn't reveal, then other's jumped on, and we all wanted it to be gruden. Even when he came out and said no, we still refused to believe he said no, now they might be a coach who actually want's this job, and as a fanbase we hate him for it? How do you think player's and recruit's will feel about us, not the coach?
