I just thought of something on my way to work today? If all the big time boosters wanted a coach so bad why would things not have been better when Kiffy was hired or certanily when Dooley was hired........Makes me wonder if they really are not that involved at all and we are headed for JONES??? are you kidding me?

Whoever wrote that article is an idiot. First, they refer to "Butch Davis" as the guy getting the job in the first paragraph. Then, the article goes on to say Jones will have a tough time leaving the "city of brotherly love". Really? That would be Philadelphia, and this guy coaches the University of Cincinnati.

Regardless, I have a hard time believing UT freed up $18 million over the next 3 years to hire Butch Jones. I also have a hard time believing that Dave Hart is so intellectually deficient that he would hire another Derek Dooley, let alone create a frenzy for the fan base. This makes no sense on so many levels. The email that went out earlier this week stating UT football needs to return to the national stage in order for the university to thrive. This doesn't fit with that. This guy has absolutely zero SEC experience, let alone UT bloodlines. There is no healing in this type of hire for the fan base.

As such, until Butch Jones walks up to that podium, I will choose to believe it is Gruden.

But folks at the some time I hava a hard time thinking Dave Hart does not already have his guy (Gruden) because I cannot see all these people rejecting UT coaching job. Hart did say take a breath and relax. So if Jones is not named today I feel 100% sure he has his man in the bag he is just building things up for the climax

Well it appears this is going to go down like none of us hoped. While I'm extremely disappointed, I've had a ball discussing and dreaming with all the Gs. We all wanted something special for our beloved football program and for whatever reason it did not come to pass. Thanks to all for fun. One good thing is all the negagrudes will probably stay away as they'll be as disgruntled as the rest of us. Hey what do you know? Hart did make a hire that'll unite the fan base.

I noticed the errors after I posted it...there are more articles but I wanted to spare everyone here so I didn't post them.
