Yeah that rush and gotta hire someone worked out last time!!!! This will finish the program!!! Butch Davis would have been a hell of a lot better hire!!! The AD and boosters should all be ashamed if this happens!!

Guys, i've been 100% that Gruden is coming and I still am. IF the reports are true about Butch Davis then this is a sad time for UT Football. Who out there actually thinks this is a better hire than bringing Fulmer back? Which coach that is left on our list is a better option that Fulmer? I know I'll get flamed for it but this is an unstable program right now and we need stability BADLY! If we can't get Gruden then we must get Fulmer back. If we can't land a coach thats not in the $4-5 million range then we are settling for another Dooley. Either Dave Hart is a complete idiot or a complete genius and has us fooled. Flame away :rock:

I would rather just get an interim for a year than get Butch Jones. Try again next year. Butch Jones will get us a max of 8 wins per year.

Every time someone quotes one of his posts I dream of a day when the ignore button works for those as well. He may have been here a while and really good guy, but there is nobody I have ever disagreed with every single word they say/type before.

All part of Hart's masterplan. Hire Butch Jones, someone Dooley beat and average only 30,000 per game next year. That will force the issue with the school to make the academic changes that are needed because of the huge drop in revenue. Fire Jones after a 4-8 season, hire Gruden and all in well with the world. Soon but not very...1 year wait.

I asked this in an earlier thread and never saw the answer. As this plays out, Hart is either a genius or a complete buffoon. Who hired (officially and unofficially) Hart? Who made the decision that he was the man to redirect our Ath Dept that was headed towards disaster?

If we get butch, hart will follow him out the door in three or four years IMO. All I do know is that this has become embarrassing for us vols. PTI just did a segment saying even they don't get why no one wants this job, saying its a much better job than Arkansas! Is Hart really f-ing this up this bad? It makes me almost believe a big name is still in play! If not, he has got to go!!!!!!

vic grider resigns from south pittsburgh high school today.....add another piece of the puzzle...he was a college roommate with jon gruden....oh and hargis with the tfp was our high school sports reporter....hope i didnt repost anything that was already posted:detective:
