"Jon Grudens name continues to be kicked around as some sort of a done deal. In the minds of some, all thats played out to date has all gone according to Tennessees master plan. Nevermind the fact that UTs athletic department cant seem to rub two sticks together properly in recent years, but now Hart and crew are supposed to be overseeing the greatest covert action since D-Day? (If Hart is spotted near the Pas-de-Calais then well start to buy into the subterfuge theory.) In reality, one industry source told us this morning that if Tennessee were to give Gruden the guaranteed money hes looking for it could bankrupt the program for years. If you think UT cant afford a $5 million buyout, try buying out a coach for $20 or $25 million. So for now, well continue to doubt the Grudenites. We dont believe Tennessee can afford literally to risk that kind of cash on a guy who hasnt coached college ball in 20 years and who could return to the NFL at a moments notice. Weve been told that Hart and the schools biggest boosters agree on that point. (And, yes, we a have crow in the MrSEC.com freezer should we need to eat one.)" - from mr .sec
I think no matter who we hire, this search is out of Hart's hands now... The big boosters are embarrassed and clearly there is a power struggle and Hart proved himself incompetent already. I think this is going to be a Booster suggested hire, whether Hart takes credit or not.
Lol... I would guarantee that we have never had a saint as a head football coach. They just haven't been caught.. Except kiffin
Article from Fansided nailed our current situation right here:
"The Vols coaching search is going through stages: first stage is the stage where you think everybody wants you. You walk into the party, the music is pumping, people are feeling good and you think every sexy, scantly-clad women present wants to bed you. Then they all look at you and walk away like youre the guys from A Night At the Roxbury and you slowly realize youre not that great.
Panic mode hasnt set in and youre still not ready to settle for the last girl on the bar-line, but you begin to see that could very well be the outcome of of youre night out. Thats exactly where Tennessee is right now, none of the top-tier women want them, and its starting to snowball from there."

Thanks liper.
My gut tells me we are gonna know by end of business tomorrow who our new coach is. There is too much pressure on hart. He looks like a fool right now and needs to save face some kind of way.
