That figures for TB--that ignorant hack--not knowing that Grider is one of the most successful coaches in the history of Tenn. High School football...legendary around Chattanooga and throughout the state in coaching circles.....

Sure would go a long way in repairing those condemned bridges with recruits here in Tenn...:salute:

There is no way any of this is a freakin' smoke screen. The only way Gruden comes here is if Hart takes another run (or a real run) and brings something to initiate real interest. This program looks like a stupid joke on every media outlet there is. We have been turned down by 3 average to pretty good coaches...not great names, just good names.

Not the same thing to my knowledge. Bama went after one man and one man only. Saban. and the went after him until they got him.

Yes he said he wasnt going to go, but I dont remember Bama getting rejected publically by a bunch of other coaches first.

He is friends with Gruden.

Dooley destroyed in state relationships with High School Coaches.

The thought is that Gruden will hire Grider as his high school liason!!!

not entire true. The AD there was completely ready to Hire Rich Rod until the Boosters stepped in and put him in his place.

FWIW, I called into 104.5 this AM (1045thezone.com in Nashville)...

1. The call screener said that Stephen Hargis was found to not be reliable (which I don't agree with), and don't know how that would relate to his credibility anyway.

2. Then basically got hung up on by Mark Howard on air, he wouldn't even further the discussion, didn't know who Grider was, or acted like it, etc, end of discussion...

Personally, I'm all in for Gruden, but kinda understand why media would downplay it, but do not understand why media would absolutely shut it down.

They've discussed every coach under the sun, but when it comes to Gruden, it's almost like you just p***** in their coffee, at some point there needs to be some rational discussion as to why this Gruden talk is so outrageous, if that is in fact the case...

Personally, I'd like to hang around and give them a big s*** burger to eat...

You know, I'm starting to wonder if this whole smokescreen thing, if real, is more about replacing Hart and Cheek than it is making the hire. What would it take to get those two, but Cheek specifically, out of here?

What's going on? 24hr window??? Normally I woul go back and read but with it being slow today I think this is the better option. I haven't been on much since Nov. 30th...the last time line. Still believing just not putting myself through the suffering lol
