Ainge saying the players are choosing Sentimore to be their coach because he has a NC ring from Bama and no one else wants to coach them, lol.

Yes, I have thrown away my tin foil hat lol. I do not want to "piss on you guys parade" so I have tempered posting about it to a minimum. Just popping by. I do not have the ability to believe the chain of events that has happened would have if any of this had truth to it. The Gridee thing gives me pause for a second I admit, but in the big scheme of things doesn't overcome the negative evidence imo. The University of Tennessee was made to look very foolish nationally yesterday, and I suspect those same people fueling this impending Gruden meltdown are also highly responsible for us being publicly turned down by a Louisville coach.

Most of us believe we did indeed meet with him and engaged his interest. Was this part of the smokescreen or a serious backup plan...that we don't know.

However, there has been no hard evidence of an official offer having been made. If the CNNSI article is correct, a short meeting with Cheek only one time would back that up IMHO.

Not exactly "out of no where"...

"I'm a planner and I knew two years ago that this would be my last year," Grider told our media partners at the Chattanooga Times Free Press. "Basically I just knew it's time. I know I'll miss it because it's not easy to just give up something you've been around your whole life, but I'm also tired of the non-stop grind that comes with this job."

BC, I think you were told be part of the smokescreen personally! You are still against this happening, when you were 100% on board 1 week ago. I understand your outlook on things..hope you jump back on this train soon, buddy! Good times are coming!!

I can't wait for Gruden to be announced as our coach. I have been ridiculed by everyone now and all of my friends have lost hope and think we are going to get a mid majors coach 2.0. I am so on the Gruden train! I can't wait to be right and hope nothing happens at the end of this ride that can derail Gruden.

No, thats not what we are all thinking. I dont agree with him, but I dont see how you could possibly blame anyone from being skeptical.

Agreed. I'm still pretty skeptical and taking all this information with a grain of salt. I'd love to be wrong though.

Dunno about being part of a smokescreen, but his stance was certainly changed within a day.

Seems like a good guy though. Maybe hand was forced?

Carter was here from the beginning and is respected by several on here. You should back off and quit being so disrespectful. We are ALL Vols here, remember??
