Haven't followed the Gruden thread for a week or so, but yet it lives. Kudos to you all! So are the Gruden predictions mostly tongue-in-cheek now?

So Grider knew he this was his last season as a HC anyway? Then, who cares if he resigned today. It doesn't mean anything.

Not true. My brother is a coach in the Chattanooga area. He knows Vic and his family well. Vic told my brother about 2 weeks ago he decided to resign. My brother asked what he was going to do next and Vic was non-committal.

I don't really claim to be an insider, but I do have several high profile friends. I received an email about 20 minutes ago. I will not post it; if it got back to this individual, he wouldn't appreciate it. But I can confirm this:

Jon Gruden contacted Vic Grider on Tuesday. He left him a voice mail that told Vic "don't believe anything you are hearing, the deal is still in play, and [he] wanted to let Grider know and make sure he was still interested in joining the staff as a HS liason (or something of that nature."

He also went on to state in the email that the staff Gruden is assembling one be "the most unbelievable in CFB history." TIFWIW. I'm sure Y4B, OV or someone else may be able to confirm this. #Gruden!
