I totally agree that we should not give Strong that much. I also agree this is not a Hart issue, it was pretty obvious when I read Cheek was at the interview. So what do you think is the plan now?

I agree on the 4.5 mil, can't take that big of a risk.

Please let us in on the "real issues". We at least deserve that.

Skeet, we offered 3.7? Find it hard to believe Louisville giving more than 4 to Strong? I find it harder to believe that we couldnt give Strong 4 mil.

Did we not want to give him more than 4?

I agree on the money issue, but it's sad to see how we were turned down by someone who has always said he wanted a challenge. In the end Strong's legacy at U of L will be legendary, even though they are likely to get blown out by Florida.

I'd take Roman in a heartbeat with an NFL crew. If he is as smart as they say he is, but Harbaugh will pull a Jurich and keep him there.

Thats inaccurate. A university has to send a letter of intent to hire Tressel and then that has to go through a process with the NCAA. I dont think Tressel cannot coach. I think its more less a probationary period. At least that was how I understood this...but Tressel is not on the radar anyway

Something interesting that i heard, Butch Jones wanted this job badly and the reason he agreed to take the UC job was he like everyone else thought Strong was heading to Tennessee. Jone's has not signed anything with CU yet. Not sure if Hart would go down that road or not.

He might be worth that much to. And Hart knew what he was walking into when he took the job. If he couldn't do it, then he shouldn't have taken it.

So let me just kinda recap the smokescreen here:

1. Gruden denies interest in the job on national radio.
2. Gruden's agent says TN fans are "in a fantasy world."
3. Hart spends well over $100,000 on jet fuel, for no real purpose but to "smoke."
4. Hart fools other Gundy into thinking he is interested in hiring him.
5. Hart wastes Strong's time, and convinces him to go along for the ride to get a raise with a fake job offer that was never really there.
6. At some point, for some real unknown reason, we will then hire Gruden, and Hart will have "saved the day."

Am I missing anything?

Seems legit.
