Why do people care so much about other's feelings on an anonymous internet message board? Why?

Just because back when I was young and naive I remember actually believing these types of things. Hate seeing people get so excited only to be let down in the end. It always ends the same.

Oh and if we get Gruden...I'll be the first to step up and say the media failed and the message board gurus nailed this from the start. I've just seen this story one too many times.

I want to believe the OG's and especially yay4bray...but in the almost 20 years I've been a Tennessee fan they have never shown me they are smart and cunning enough to pull off hiring someone like Gruden, let alone pull the wool over the everyone eyes so well. I just don't believe they have it in them.

I like Strong and think given the chance he could do well at UT. But not for 4 million. He's 2-2.5 million tops. But I can see UT paying 4 million for Strong, because they have shown me over the years they are that stupid.

I really, really hope I'm wrong and Gruden it trotted out on stage (sometime soon) as the next head coach of The University of Tennessee Vols. If not, Hart needs to be sent back Bamaland as quick as possible. He's starting to make Hamilton look competent and I never thought anyone could do that.

UofL isnt gong along with it. UT picking up Gruden while Hart and co are in Louisville with Strong. Strong and agent talking #'s but no formal offer until he verbally accepts. This way, UT isnt in binding agreement. Strongs agent plays along to milk UL for cash and years on contract and Hart being there makes it look real. I haven't seen a formal offer, we dont know it exists. People rely way too much on media that is constantly misreporting things with searches. Media has no clue, look no further than Arkansas' search and how that hire came outta nowhere

Except, Strong doesn't have an agent. He represents himself.

I really want to believe that. But, why would Gruden fly all that way to meet with McKenzie when he could have just had McKenzie meet him in Tampa or who knows where? It doesn't make sense to me.
