This is getting ridiculous. How the hell is Hart going to try to bully Strong into who's on his staff? He did it with Sal Sunseri saw where that got him. He's an AD not a football coach. Reminds me of Jerry Jones and the weak Cowboys.

If it isn't Gruden or some step above a Arky type out of left field announcement then we will look like complete and utter goofballs.

yup. at 1st I was upset at FIU and then It hit me, he had his chance last year. He was a HOT name and he Chose to stick around.

It was for a little while up until this AM..now, it is becoming very comical to read the comments in this thread alone. This is the reaction that was said would happen. Are you guys still not seeing it? Everyone is trashing Hart right now...the stage has been set. As someone mentioned yesterday, he has been a "pawn" to this point and hasn't played his role. He is putting his cape and make-up on, as it's almost his time to step on the stage for his part. Super Dave to the rescue!!! It has been mentioned a million times that this hire has to look like Hart made it. He looks horrible to everyone right now, but shortly everyone will be wanting to build a statue or name a road after him. Do you guys not see the next coach of our beloved Vols on the horizon? If it's not him, then our program is in deep trouble, unless a rabbit is pulled out of the hat.

true. Strong would be the best hire, imo. Defensive minded, knows the SEC, will get top notch recruits What more do they want?

Teams that run the spread get figured out quickly in the SEC and they also are too dependent on the QB. A&M offense will get figured out just like AU's did with Malzahn, Mizzouri was figured out sooner than later. The top notch SEC teams play smash mouth (Bama, UF, UGA, USCe) so UT needs a coach that can match that. Thats why I say Strong over Gundy.

There is no way can Dave Hart allow Clint Hurtt to be part of the University of Tennessee. Hurtt is neck deep in the shenanigans that took place a the University of Miami. So, yes, Dave Hart has every right and the responsibility to dictate that decision to Strong.

Hart needs to just hire a coach a let him hire whoever he wants as assistants. This is turning into a joke.

Clint Hurtt is a candidate for the FIU job according to Jamie Newberg. He didn't say candidate but he said names like Clint Hurtt and Eddie Gran then said who ya got?

Cristobal firing could be a blessing for us if the Swain report is true.

Louisville is working on a new deal for Strong right now.

Gundy is out, Strong & Tennessee are in discussuions this morning.

UL's AD did not travel to NO & is trying to redo Strong's contract to keep him

I think this is true and was going to post it but was reading thru the thread first. That would be an issue and would explain Hurtt saying Strong was staying.

Because the OG's in the Gruden thread said all of this would happen, they predicted it weeks ago. They said there would be coaching interviews, job turned down by multiple coaches, meltdowns by fans and media, no one knowing what's going on, etc...and in the end Hart would look like a hero saving the day. Many more detailed info, if you followed those threads closely you would know, but you get my point.

I have no idea why it would need to be done this way, why all the drama but I didn't write the story. Apparently, boosters, Hart and Gruden did. So far, it's played out beautifully if you believed the story.

Now, this might not happen and I'll admit to being fooled but so will many others including the folks on VN sharing the info. Those OG's aren't lying, trolling or making things up, I'm a good judge of character and I 100% believe that to be the truth. They're sharing exactly what they're being told from boosters, coaches, players, agents, etc...Way too many people have heard this is real and happening for it to not be, IMO.

We'll see soon...

This sounds a little more promising... Hopefully Strong gives us the chance to match Louisville's counter offer.
